Please read the entire OP. I hope NSG is mature enough for this but I'm not really counting on it. Anyhow..

Alright so we all know about those wacked out baptist church forums. I stumbledupon this thread. I call myself a christian, and i believe I am one. And yes, I smoke weed, and no, I do not believe it to be a "sin" for multiple reasons. The people on this site think differently, however.

even their forum titles (notice the guy who got banned, what his title and icon are now) are incredibly twisted IMO

for people who see themselves as such pure christians who are this close to god, it amazes me that they can say things like that and not believe THAT to be a "sin".

I know pretty much everyone on here is an atheist or has no religious orientation, so bear with me here. And pleeeeeeeeease do not turn this into a religious shitstorm, thats not the point of this thread. I just thought you all might like to see how some people view marijuana.

It's been around for years. The goal is to make people dislike christians, or at least make people think christians are stupid.

I'm not sure if people have 60,000 posts, but it just goes to show how pathetic people can be.

actually it is mostly non-christians with nothing better to do. I can't say there are no members who do not realize it is a satirical website, but you would have to be pretty stupid to not realize it.
 
yeah. and that other quote you posted is from wikipedia, i saw it too lol. im not saying just cuz its from wikipedia that it's not true, but the sources they cited upon saying it was fake was a terms of service page connected to landoverbaptist.org, not landoverbaptist.net

so despite wikipedia saying that landover admits to be fake, the page admitting it is a hoax is not affiliated with the real website.

Alright, I just quickly copied and pasted that from wikipedia. If I didn't have a calculus mid term tomorrow I could find conclusive evidence that the website is fake. I know this because I already have done it when my old roommate and I got into an argument about it. I'm sure you can find it for yourself though, it's not exactly a secret.

Although if you get a laugh out of this kind of stuff, there are unfortunately many real places with similar stupidity/ignorance.
