If anyone here is thinking about getting a website online, for their production company, or hat company or whatever it might be, let me know.

I don't do design work, but I can help with all the tech BS that goes into it.

Anyway if your thinking about it, or have any questions, post here or shoot me a PM and I'd be more then happy to help ya out.
 
Didn't actually do any design work just helped him get a site online so he could host some shit a while back.

We did it in under 2 hours.
 
You can get a domain for free with hosting yeh. Hosting you have to pay for, but I know a few places that are WICKED cheap.

Like $120 for a full two years of hosting with 200gb's of storage (thats more then most sites even need) and 2tb's of bandwidth.
 
That's grossly untrue. Through ALL the hosts I use all you have to pay for is the hosting the domain names come free.

Not sure what hosts or registrars your using, but you can DEF get the url free with the hosting.

Just whatever you do NEVER use startlogic. They are in fact the SPAWN of Satan.
 
heh good luck overriding the cookies that are what really allow them to have free sites.

Those cookies make them about $5 off every site they set up, if not more.
 
Yea well cookies get info from your computer so whoever goes to your site is at risk of getting their info stolen and/or getting viruses. It might be worth the $10 a year and pay for domain name.
 
I don't actually do the design work. I am just offering my help at getting the sites up and running and online.

There is more to the site then just the design. Anyone can buy a domain, but it takes a bit more then that to not get screwed.

i.e. not many hosts will tell you about private registration etc. Places like godaddy.com or startlogic.com charge extra for something that should be free.

If you don't know about things like that, that is what I am offering.

And since I know someone is gonna ask what private registration is I will explain.

Private reg is having your hosts info put into the whois database instead of yours. If your info is put in ANYONE IN THE WORLD has public access to your address, phone number, ip, and worlds more info if they know what they are doing, and anyone who looks for that info does.

I am just offering my knowledge that I have learned over the years as I have bounced from host to host.
