I was working in a shop 12 years ago when I met this not so chill chick. She was a rad skier and was the manager of the softgoods department. I was the new guy running the shop and hardgoods side of things so we had to work together most day. In the beginning, she was a hard ass chick. Didn't put up with shit. The shop crew road together most nights and partied after. Soon I was hoping for the slow ass 2 seat chair just to get some alone time together. Fast forward 12 years..... We are married, have a kid and still is one of my favorite riding buddies.

Nice to see the community come together to help a man who’s down. I was sleepin with a chick for like 3 months til one day she said was visiting a friend on the east coast, It was some other 30+yr old doctor, who she went to fuck. I’m a 24 year old ski bum. Bottom line is heartbreak hurts, and there will always be a conniving bitch out there who’s responsible, avoid this by focusing on yourself and never chasing a hoe! When the time is right, a respectful loving female will come along.

I'm writing this to help people avoid what I am going through as well as hoping writing this down will help me feel better. I met a girl back in January and I thought that we hit it off pretty quickly. I learned that she was a skier with a lot of knowledge about the industry which instantly got my interest. Although we lived a good distance away from each other we would ski every weekend as well as travel around Colorado together. After about 6 months of being together I thought that everything was going good and I was really starting to get feelings for her. Then a couple weeks ago she took a trip west to mount hood with her girl friend. Talking to her on the phone almost every day I thought nothing of it when she told me about a dude she was skiing with that I had heard about before. After a week and a half out west she came back and I went to visit her excited to see a girl I started caring a lot about. Not too long into hanging out with her I saw him blowing up her phone and it later got revealed she hooked up with him and slept with him. Almost instantly I saw the interest she showed for me disappear. I have never been so devastated in my life. It would be one thing if it was just a normal girl but this cut me deep. She left my ass and as far as I know they are together now. Mount hood is one of my favorite places on earth and now every time I see a picture or video from there it makes me sick. It has ruined something that makes me happier than anything. So to all of you wishing for a skier girl friend, from my personal experience it is a bad idea. Keep skiing and your love life separated. Believe me it fucking sucks.
