hey guys i'm too lazy to make a thread about this so since it's on topic i'll just post it here. I have a 5.1 surround sound system and a new mac book pro. What do I need to hook my macbook pro up to the sound system so I can get full surround sound and listen to some dubstep??

if you want true 5.1 sound, but that is only going to be on like movies and stuff. For listening to music, its only going to be in stereo. If you are lucky, your speakers will have a switch so that you can set it to stereo mode in which case all 4 speakers will play even without the surround speakers plugged in, otherwise you are kinda SOL without a 5.1 sound card.
