If you could create your own country, how would you run it?

Why should people be disenfranchised from the democratic process because they chose the rent or have to because they can't afford to buy? It makes literally zero sense.
 
It makes sense, just not to you. I would have only land owners be allowed to vote, because im tired of all the uneducated and biased voting where I live. It seems like everyone here is voting for someone not because of their policies, but of how 'cool' or 'relateable' someone is. In my perfect world, to become a land owner, a person must become politically educated and by having only politically educated people vote, the amount of biased/uneducated votes would be dramatically reduced
 
Are you fucking kidding me? Are you saying only land owners are capable of being unbiased and/or educated? Besides, the very seat of the democratic ideal is that EVERYONE gets a say, even and especially people you may not like.

No, I don't believe im kidding you. No, im not saying that landowners are always capable of being unbiased. What I was trying to say was that in order to vote you must go to a class free of charge and learn about all of the candidate's political opinions and policies. To get into the class you must show proof of land ownership. My logic is that by having people become politically educated before voting, their decisions would be more informed, and the amount of biased voting would decrease.
 
If you want to keep uneducated people from voting you should require a test before you vote. That at least makes sense, although in practice it would probably fail miserably. There's no reason to assume that "landowners" as a group are more fit to vote than anyone else. That's just flat out bigotry.

If everyone who has to vote has to go to the class anyway then what is the point of restricting voting to landowners? Renters could just as easily take the same class.

I probably am, but I live a life of ignorance so I don't really care. Also Its not like im having all the homeless put to death, just not letting them vote ignorantly. Also how would testing someone before they vote fail miserably in practice? Do you have any real life proof?
 
So of that percentage of people who are land owners, only people who had time to/wanted to take a class would be able to vote? That is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard, people have and should have a right to vote for a candidate for any damn reason they choose, regardless of whether or not you think they're biased. That is called freedom.

Yes, I do. Poll tests were a well known way to keep black people from voting in the south until the voting rights act. In principle I'm not totally against a basic test for voters, but in practice it will just be used to keep certain types of voters away from the polls.
 
I agree with you there. But what if today a non race biased test was put in place. Would you be for or against that?
 
It's still a barrier to keep people from voting because you don't want them voting. That is what disenfranchisement is in principle, and that is what you are proposing.
 
I still don't think there's any way to make a test that doesn't simply disenfranchise certain types of voters, so no.

In theory it might be a good idea, but there's probably no way to implement that theory.

For example what kind of questions would be on the test?

Raise a massive army of nomadic people, using huge incentives. Then we'd run loose, and loot and pillage the shit out of every other NS'ers country, and since the general consensus is that you'd all be on every drug imaginable, with no weapons or police, we'd overrun you in hours.

And integrating your people would be no problem. We'd use them as slave labor, then as we roll out, require every member of the populace dig themselves a grave before we clean house.
