ive been thinking of a completely dismantable drop in in my mind or something close to it so we can have an extra tall one but still easy to transport

Truthfully, and knowing you, i think u know that freestyle skiing is the future of the sport, so its just a matter of time before we see rediculous parks poping up all over the place. But all of us as skiers need to learn to be paticent in this time. Speek your mind with a good intent, dont complain! Give insight on how it could be better; complaining about how its not good enough doesn't help make anything better. If your trying to be the next top competitive slop-style skier then stevens probably isnt the resort for you,; but if you dont have the money or the means to go anywhere else, dont complain just be happy with what you got and just skiiii.

Chris I only send love, no argument. First, sorry about Ally she was probably just tryin to back me up. (still love ya Kuki) Your girlfriend had a point to make. But i still belive that we as skiiers and as human beings need to be patcient in this time. If you read my thread again it has truth no argument. The only thing, THE ONLY THING that is constant is CHANGE, and you know that the future of skiing is freestyle, so you must know that its just a matter of time before we see rediculous parks all over the place. I do belive we have to speek our minds but with a good intent, those surveys were a positive way to get some dope insight on how the park should be, but complaining doesn't change anything fast, or at all. Complaining about how things arent good enough doesnt make things better. I talked with Matt plenty last year and got to talkin about things that could happen to the park, he was stoked to hear it but felt bad because he knew the management wouldnt let him, he wants a dope park, I want a dope park, chris you want a dope park, all the little kids want a dope park, so its just a matter of time. If these kids that are complaining about it want to be the next top slop-style skiers, well right now they better find another park, and if they dont have the money or the means to travel, then come lets all frollik on the snowy hillside of Sevens Pass to have fun not complain.

I've already made my point, you've made yours too. They're both valid, and I'll agree that bitching about it on a website probably isn't the most productive way of handling it.

Jeez, crazy hate mail. Anyone with anything that they want to see at Stevens Pass this winter can draw it and mail it in. Rails, boxes, wall ride, whatever.

Sorry to dispell the myth, but Mike Thomas won't be back, and was never offered a gig at Stevens after he split two winters ago. As for the O.G. T.P.C., only Melton and Jorge will be back.

If anyone has an ideas as to how to make a resort mangement team pony up the time and money (both) to get new rails and boxes made over the summer, I'll buy you a case of your favorite beer to make that happen.

Nobody wants the best park in the NW more than I do. Each season I plan for new stuff to get developed and the plan gets nixed. Our competitors with a better feel for what is current have an arsenal of rails and boxes in the works, despite not even being open last winter.

I deal with these challenges on a daily basis, banging my head against a wall. I'm not gonna stop trying. The feedback surveys were to get some ammo together to show what our guests wanted in the park. Thanks to everyone who filled them out and shared their ideas.

I'm trying my hardest to make changes. You might have enjoyed the previous parks, and the dude who actually built them (on the snow, with a snowcat) is the new Terrain Park Manager, Dan Junk.

Junk and Junior have carried the park program for a long while now. Too many other players in this game take credit for things they had very little to do with. Parks get built at night, when it is dark and cold, not in some chat room or sitting at some desk.

If you want to sqawk, hate, complain and bitch, be my guest. If you want to come up with some solid ideas to make the park better, send 'em.

Sorry the winter was so bad last year. We worked with what we had and did what we could given the budget, hours of cat time available and limited resources. I pulled steel out of the dumpster and ground off the old paint when we were not spending $$ on new features. They are short, flat and stock. Last winter we had some obstacles in place that aren't there anymore.

As far as whether or not I know how to weld certain types of rails, I never claimed to be a fabricator. I moved here from NH and one month later started welding rails after hours in the shop. Melton, Brian, Mike and Brad all worked at Stevens for YEARS, and only complained rather than to go pick up the tools, get their hands dirty and learn how to weld.

I'm not saying that to dis them. The OG TPC faced years of challenges at Stevens that I hope to overcome in the future, but you can talk, squawk, and moan or make your own changes. I learned how to weld fat flat rails. At the time we didn't have any fattys and I can't ride rails, so that is what I made.

I hope you'll continue to visit our mountain and enjoy Stevens, but our parks will be built for riders/skiers of all levels, not just the heroes. Too many squids get broke off on the big stuff so we need a balance to let the kids progress and develop their skills before hitting the big stuff.

Hey Matt, I thought thing’s were cool with us and our issues were in the past but it sounds like you have a problem with me, if you do talk to me about it don’t go say it behind my back. I told you what My issue’s were with you 2 yrs ago.

As far as Me never getting offered the position, yeah that is true but you had b-rad and kris call me to tell me to apply and I even called you find out about it and you said “I thought you would be the best person for the job” , and told stevens pass that. So I applied even knowing I already had offer’s at other resorts. I love Stevens and myself and a lot of the TPC put a lot of work into that park and we did pick up tools and get our hands dirty more than other people, And as far as the welding aspect yeah it’s true that we didn’t do any welding, but we did everything else designing/ cutting/ painting/ bolting, etc the only reason we didn’t weld is because Stevens Pass –Marv wouldn’t let us! But now I do weld thanks to a resort that would let me. And as far as the building aspect-junk and junior and Brad- yeah those guys worked their ass’s off! I never claimed to BUILD the jump’s but I can say that I designed a lot of the park, layout and features and shoveled my ASS off!, so donn’t say that other people took the credit, because I never took any credit for anything that I didn’t do! As far as me saying you could only build flat rails, it’s true but not meant in a bad way, it’s all you’ve done and had experience with. I can’t say anything about last yr, I wasn’t there and you were dealt a shitty hand by nature. So if you have beef, call me..!

we got some ns rivalry goin on. but i must say, that when brad and mike and all those guys had their ways, the park kicked ass. i cant rreally talk much because i havnt seen the new crew work on a reasonabley snowy season, but we will find out this season. the event lineup is looking pretty awesome though, props to whoever pulled through with that.

Wow fellas wow... Mike was dead on when he said this was highschool... cuz i was a jr in highschool when i wrote this. Sadley enough i wont be gettin a seasons pass at stevens this year or probly for the next few years cuz im at college and my home mountain is just too far away. But regardless mike thomas is a pimp, works his ass off at everything he does, ive seen it first hand. So dont ever act like he doesnt cuz that will make you one wrong ass bitch. Peace. Cant wait to come kick it
 
I just want everyone to know that If I came cross like I was dissing Stevens or Matt that was not my antention, I was just trying to shed some light on some of the matters you guys were talking about. I have no beef's with stevens or matt. yes at one time (2yrs ago) I did with matt but that shit is in the past and I've dealt with them. So let's all stop talking shit and bitching, because winter is almost here, and it's and having fun and being positive, not negative. lata TPC-MIKE
 
dude when we go up preseason, we should take that gold out, session it, and then take it down to katie's cabin and stash it there!!!! (unless we can bring it to your backyard, evan)...
 
^^^ I don't really care who gets it, as long as they put it to good use and shares it with other people to enjoy. So have fun with it, whos ever finds it first.
