If there was one trick to define our sport

If there was one trick to define our sport, what would it be?

Maybe like nicky keefers double under flip or something, combines the double of comp skiing and the style of a layed out underflip

Thoughts?

a three off a cliff or natural roller, "terrain park tricks" all over the mountain defines modern freeskiing for me and nothing is more og than a sucked up three on a natural feature

Well if I had to show one trick to someone that had no idea was freeskiing was, it should be something that shows things that they didn't know could be done on skis.

So it would need something switch (so they can go "HOLY SHIT THE SWITCH"), a rail, and some air. So even though it's not a common trick, I would show something like a sw on, fs spin + grab out of a cannon rail. Ex) Sw on, fs 6 blunt out of a cannon.

TBH I think a spread eagle or an "iron cross" defines our sport as it came to be known as skiing, most shirts with skiers on them and stuff tourists wear is usually an outline of an "iron cross"

as an actual trick that demands respect a tweaked out zero spin is pretty legendary in most situations

I was going to say the 360 Mute, but after putting a bit of thought into it, I'm gonna have to go with the switch rodeo 720 with any grab you want. It's got switch take off, switch landing, a grab, and it off axis, which separates it from aerials.

I started freeskiing watching candide doing some cork 7 tail. so yeah Cork 7 tail/blunt

The cork 7 tail/blunt is definitely very iconic to skiing. It's majestic AF.
