Can I just say that if McRae Williams took gold at X games today it would have been the biggest slap in the face to the US national olympic committee? I know it's only one comp after in the whole season, and that he simply didn't do as well in as the guys who qualified for the team overall in the selection events, but it would've been the ultimate irony in the last and biggest competition before Sochi.
It definitely would've pointed out the major flaws in the qualification requirements for the olympics and emphasized the sheer depth of the US slope team
