probably slightly. but you'd probably just meet chicks and get called gay by your peers.

personally, I wish I was amazing at gymnastics and could do stuff like that on flat ground. i can only front flip and do some hand springs. That plus parkour and skating... you'd be Mathieu Ledoux http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjTtziaNuP4

Gymnastics is super fun, and you get to hang out with (at least one) hot girls. I would definitely do it.

It may or may not improve your skiing, but gymnastic girls typically have bombs asses (at least at my high school they did) and you may get the opportunity to take that to Pound Town. It's really a win-win situation.

Trampoline school will be x10 better to improve skiing. Air-awareness will help you so much on jumps.

I did it until I was like 7 or 8 then I moved up to the middle of the woulds where people hate blacks and drink moonshine. FML

Gymnastics is mad fun though, def can help with skiing just like trying shit on your trampoline or into your pool can.

I can tell you now its really intense and hard...mysistesr nto gymnastics. If you arent going pro don't waste your time

I know nothing about gymnastics, but I do know a kid who used to do gymnastics and he can do the following:
1. Run up walls to get on top of short buildings
2. Standing Backflips
3. Standing Frontflips
in addition to those, we taught him bios, corks, flats/rodeos, in about two minutes on a trampoline.
and he can now do standing kick-rodeo 5s and standing bio 5s. I am looking to get into some sort of gymnastics program to help with my ability to do those type of things on skis.

i think it absolutely would. youll get really good balance, strength, learn how to control your body through the air, become more comfortable with going upside down, etc. id say go for it

Not every gymnastic program is the same. The people trying to go to the olympics are in specialiazed programs run by former olympians working their asses off to get there. There are a shit ton of places that are a lot more mellow.

Plenty of more recreational programs you can get involved in if you have a gym nearby

Hahahahaha that is hilarious. Do it gymnastics is the shit, who cares if it doesn't help your skiing, you are still that one bad ass motherfucker who can do back flips on the ground.

It absolutely would. First of all it improves balance which is great for any sport. Second of all, as far as doing tricks on jumps go, its basically all gymnastics. Tell the gymnastics teacher....thingy that you want to do a lot of trampoline work.

if you don't know anything about gymnastics, what makes you think you will make the gymnastics team? high school was a blurry few years back but I'm pretty sure you needed to actually be a gymnast and you needed to try out.

i did gymnastics for like five years, if you do trampoline it definitely helps you in the air. when dudes make fun of me, i remind them that i'm in ten times better physical shape than them. do it up.

WOW IF MY SCHOOL HAD GYMNASTICS I'D BE ALL OVER THAT SHIT.

IM THE LEAST FLEXIBLE PERSON I KNOW BUT I'M AGILE AS FUCK. SEEMS LIKE A LOT OF FUN, GO FOR IT.

Thanks guys im talking about it with some hot blone chick in my grade cant wait to see those tight asses in some spandex!

You do understand that there are levels in gymnastics and ill be placed in what I make if I have good style then ill do good

Good luck being legit on your schools team. I wouldn't do that unless I felt I had a legit chance of at least holding my own. But that's just me.

You should do what I'm doing: once a week tumbling class. I get to learn tons of fun shit, get some conditioning and get some tramp work. Its learn at your own pace, not Olympic-training intense. Oh and it will improve your skiing like you won't believe. I can pop so much higher now, and I don't get those little tweak injuries anymore because of the flexibility. For some reason I never get shinbang anymore either. Something to do with being stronger. I can do running front tucks and I will have standing back tucks pretty soon, too. Shit's dope. Do it for sure.
