ID check at shows?

So heres the deal

Is in Portland Maine (2 hours from me) on april 20th (4/20/12) and it looks dope. There only issue is, its 17+ which isnt a problem for me since im 17 but my lady friend is 16... ive never been to something this big and am wondering how that is inforced and whether or not an id is need or if she can just claim she is 17? anyone know/anyone going or have gone? looks dope as helll.

 
in toronto youll always get id'd at any big show.

not sure about where you live, but if they specify an age of 17 they must have a reason.

but on the other hand its not like 17+ can do anything others cant so who knows.
 
My friend who is 16 went to see skrillex in portland and didnt get id'd there so maybe if you have a ticket in advance its not a big deal. i mean, its a fucking foam rave, who would bring an id anyway? haha
