hey guys I broke my skies on the last day of my mountains season so im really starting to look for skies for next season(looking for a good deal). anyways i have been looking around and I noticed the nomad rkr they seemed like an awesome ski for me but it would be my first mid fat and im a bit worried of how much rocker they have and if it would be a big change from a smaller more tradition twin. I have done a decent amount of research but i didnt find a whole lot on how they were on groomed stuff. it wouldnt be a whole lot of groomed but getting back to the chair. so info about me is i ski in B.C. mostly lift terrain but there is a fair share of powder stashes if you know where to go. I ski mostly trees with a bit of wide open bowls. I enjoy hitting cliffs but there isn't much over 30 feet at my hill. Height 5'9 Weight 155 Advanced skier.

If you have any info it would be greatly appreciated thank you.

I rode them for a day. I'm really skinny and short, so I found them pretty stiff, just as I do the normal nomads. I personally like the sfts. They did feel weird going slow, but that's probably because I'm from the east coast and never ride rockered skis, and because they're stiff. You could get used to it. Going fast they turned fine. Definitely different than turning a full camber skinny ski. Tons of pop for me, like I was launching off everything. They didn't have too much rocker. I've skied JJs before and they felt like 100cm skis, the nomads didn't. I rode 171s I think. See if you can try them, cause I'd imagine if I was a bit heavier I'd like them more. They don't have much camber either, not sure if you're looking for a lot of camber or not. I'm like 5'5" 120lbs for reference.

Never got them in much soft snow but they're fat and rockered, so they can't be too bad.

well I am looking for a fatter more rockered ski and do love throwing myself around the only problem is there isnt anywhere near i can test them so im a bit bummed but i will figure something out potentially

I'd call them a capable all mountain ski for sure though. The rocker is noticeable, but it's not like surface or hellbent status where 50cm of the ski seems to touch the ground. You're not sliding all over, but you can if you want.
