I'm trying to find some info on this brand of skis. I hadn't heard of them until i was hittin the park the other day with a random guy that had them. They were twin tips that were really wide and looked awesome. The dude said they were the best skis he'd ever riden. Does anyone know anything about them or know iceatlantic's website. A search on google returned nothing...

Thanks

oh man he created these to combine ski boards and all mt skis..... thus the 143 lenght.... they are basicly BC ski boards. NO THANKS

from the site's history page:

"Ben wanted to combine the positive aspects of both long skis and short skiboards into one all mountain, ripping product."

he then "initiated contact with Josh Menke, former owner of Journey Skiboards, to see if he would be interested in conducting an internship with Ben"

interns for a skiboarder company and expresses he wants to combine a long ski with skiboards for all mt, sounds like a skiboard disigner trying to make a all mt skiboard to me.....

i stand corrected

I believe what they were speaking of with the reference to skiboards was the agiliity and ease of turning with ski boards, these arent meant to be backcountry skiboards they are meant to be an easy to manuever alpine touring setup, and they arent the only company making a SKI (notice the lack of board after that) in that category.

i was laughing at these dumbasses each time i walked by thier booth and SIA. such idiots.

sad thing is he rode up here at baker at one time (went to school at western) and i don't know how you could even think about short skis like that after riding here.......

guys icelantic ain't no fuckin skiboard. dude i may be the only team rider but they have a 155-159cm length next year. so what they might be short skis but the dude ben anderson is a awesome guy. you fuckers say what evr you want but icelantic is the shit. they said that they are making a grom model in a year and guess what it is called? the sander. i get my own ski. just icelantic is not going to be only fat skis. they have an east coast model that has like the same dimensions as the k2 fujative

the regular icelantics are practicaly an east coast ski, the only real purpose to that thing is east coast tree skiing, other than that its a piece of shit.

I was talking to the guy when he was just starting the company, I finally saw the dimensions of "The Scout" and I just said Screw it, and never returned theyre email...

I would never ski any in the length they make but the art is probably the best i've seen on a ski (the boronowskis come a close second)
