Recently I've been thinking...

If I hit someone (or they hit me), and THEY are at fault for the accident (I.E. they cut me off, run a red light, etc. etc.) their insurance would have to pay for a new car or the damages, correct?

I've been wanting a new car lately and it would be great to skip over dealing with the used car market but I'm afraid the insurance companies will find some way to scam me...
 
maybe you should just learn how to drive and not lock up your breaks...its really not tough, granted she cut you off but seriously. Theres no excuse for locking up your breaks unless you are a bad driver.
 
A chick in a Volvo crashed into me today.

I was driving in the left lane of a 4 lane road (2 lanes traveling east, 2 lanes west) when the driver of the Volvo decides to do a U-turn from the right lane....with me right beside her. She cut so hard my thumb didn't even have a chance to hit the horn before she hit me.

She crashed into the side of my motorcycle, luckily my LEG absorbed most of the impact and only did $500 of damage on the bike. She never apologized. Hell, she never got out of her car or said a word. Her daughter came out to see if I was okay, then came back to give me the insurance info, then she drove off.

My first accident with a Volvo...coincidence?
 
yeah around here volvos' "image" is nice and safe, but not ostentatious. the anti-snob hate is reserved for lexuses, mercedes etc but yeah it's different in different areas
 
1. Volvo's are Swedish.

2. As Volvo's become more popular in the states bad drivers buy them so that when they hit stuff, they will be safer than they would be in their shitty Asian car.

3. Volvo drivers are not bad drivers, they're drivers who want a good car.

4. Most people can't drive for shit no matter what kind of car they drive.

5. If for any reason I think you are behind/in front of/next to me I will hit you. And my Volvo will win.
