Fully agree the STH is best. The strive looks like rubbish. I might have a couple pairs I’m willing to part with

I’ve been picking the OG STH’s off eBay for 20 years. Even got a pair of all steel 920’s (20 max DIN!). No shops will mount them, but I do my own mounts anyway.

the new strive binding is meant to replace the warden bindings so we are good for now with the sth2 16
 
The new sth 16s are wack too, now there is more plastic shit on them to break off and just more garbage going on all together. The sth 13s are also garbage because the toe piece is all plastic, if seen multiple pairs snapped off completely. In my opinion the best sths are the 16s from 2-8 years ago. And this is coming from someone that fucking loves them. The feeling you have when you click in is next to none and i never feel like im going to blow a ski when i throw them side ways on windblown crud going mach like i do in my pivots

Why won’t a shop mount them? I took some that were older but new and they wouldn’t mount them. Still have them was planning to put them on poachers this year.

They’re not “indemnified” anymore. Meaning they’re too old to be warranted, or Salomon considers them unsafe, or some shit like that?

tight, I think the sth has always looked so good, I am a longtime tyrolia fan, but have pivots on my Vishnus rn and think they are overrated. I just ordered some wides and finally wanna give the sth a go cuz the house has a good deal rn
