I want new skis!

Ok so the thing is.. Last year late in the season i got new skis after breaking my others and skis here in Norway cost a lot but I found a site (www.getboards.com) Which is pretty cheap, atleast for Norwegians and im going to America soon so I can order it without taxes or shipping :D But I need to convince my parents that I need these wich coulde be hard. The skis i have now haveve become too short, the bases are fucked (I guess that could be fixed) and they are way too light to be pulling anything cool on jumps without losing control. Please give me some good arguments!
 
mum you love me right? and you like seeing me happy right? well... guess what would make me very very happy, some lovely new skis. and we all know skiing is a healthy outdoor activity which keeps me fit and stops me from getting fat. and currently my bummed out old skis are preventing me from skiing. (make some tech thing up which'll baffle her -unless she knows skis- as to why your skis are buggered, i used to do it all the time with bmx stuff)
