I wanna move to whis

I'm 17 and living solo in whis, graduated last year. Make sure you find a decent place to live, preferably with a friend or someone you know who is willing to help you out the first while. Don't expect to "make" any money. It'll all go to rent/food/booze and lift pass if you don't work for the mountain or attend school. It's a fun town. Are you done school yet? It'll make a big difference.

Don't listen to Team kid.

Whistler is probally the best place to move to if you've never lived on your own.

You can make money and you can save money. Lol. Its up to you how much you want to party. if your 17 and you want to ski for free. Go live in staff and work for the mountain.

I resent that. No where did I say that it was a bad idea, or impossible, just that you wouldn't be "pocketing" much money. Atleast for the first while. On a side note have you ever lived in staff accom for WB?

At least you will be living with a bunch of noobs somewhat in the same position. A good percentage of people stay there when they come. yah it aint so nice.. but its affordable and you learn the ropes of living on your own to a certain degree. Don't you think?

yea, living at staff is ghetto cheap.

and it's been know for people to come to whistler and make tons of money. just 'cause you go and drink your money away doesn't mean it's gotta be the way.

it's like a tick at the back of your neck, the bar is always there calling you, it's hard not to go... i like alcohol though so the urge might be more for me.

if you move up you have to move up late august - mid september or else getting a place or a job is nearly impossible. Right now Im moving up with two other kids mid to late august for the season, and depending on how the places go we might need another person as 4 seems to be the magic number
