I think my skis might be fucked

So long story short I was up riding in Scotland last week (Aviemore - CairnGorm mountain if you're interested).

Found powder but to get to it I had to take a very rocky run in which has played havoc with my bases, deep gouges everywhere with one of the gouges going right down to the metal under the base near the edge.

Luckily I only took my old park skis as I kind of foresaw this happening. I'd still like to repair them though, can anyone tell me if this can be fully rectified and if so how do I do it myself/how much would it cost to have a ski shop repair them?

Cheers in advance, Ed

Can you post up a picture of the bases? If the bases aren't completely loaded with core shots and only have a few they could probably be filled with PTEX the you could get a shop to do a base grind to smooth out the repairs and take out the rest of the lighter gouges. If the base look like something outta WW2 then it's probably time to retire them to urban skis.

As far as cost goes a pack of 3 PTEX sticks is like $6 and that should be enough do a pair of skis. Then a base grind at my shop is $30 but it can vary shop to shop.

That's one of the worst gouges, there's a couple more similar to that albeit a bit shallower.

Thanks for your advice, it's much appreciated.
