I saw Few Words (Candide Thovex) in Toronto yesterday!!!

It was awesome!!!! Definitely the best ski movie of the year!!!! It had a vibe better that That's it that's all. I got to meet Candide Thovex him self and he gave me a free hat!! (with his signature)

The movie starts with some awesome shots of Candide from the last season or two. Then goes into documentary style, followed by a mix of historic shots mixed with new ones.

Over all it was incredible!!!

Really been stoked to see this ever since I first saw the trailer. Looks epic and cinematic and whenever it comes out I'm getting it for sure
 
They really put on a good show.

It's not just his skiing, it's also the way he edits everything.

Shots of big lines, to short lines, to close ups, to slow mo, to real time. Candide movie really gave a good view of how small you are in the mtns but also how big you can go. By the end of the film even the disinterested or not "into it" kind of person is asking where will he go, what will his next turn be? Maybe halfback mtn one gs turn or some short radius into a large drop. It's like a moving painting combined with an amazing show put on by Candide him self... YES!!!!!
 
Say what you want but since I was like 10 candide thovex has been the coolest.

I saw it in Boulder last night and I'm really surprised how my expectations were exceeded. I knew it was going to be mostly a documentary but I really really enjoyed it. One of the best vibes I've seen in a ski movie. Didn't necessarily make me want to go skiing, but it made me appreciate Candide and his contribution to the sport. Once in a generation athlete!
 
I was there too, I fuckin loved it. I'm not sure younger kids will enjoy it quite as much, but seeing all of the old footage got me so stoked. Further was the first ski movie i owned and I remember just being amazed by the Chads Gap footage, same goes for him hitting that hip at SuperPark. I think people who have been following the sport for 10 years or more should definitely check it out, maybe my favorite movie of the year!
 
yeah it was sick. i guess there were a ton of newschooler kids there but i couldnt tell who was who or whatever . i was sitting near the back with 4 dudes and i had my jays cap on. was the guy hosting it on here? with the cap, Supreme i think

what about that kid with the crazy fro sitting behind me?
