I dont know. Based on your speed and the amount of strain put on your spine, you either have a severe muscle strain or its quite possible that you have whats called a compression fracture. Your spine is kind of like a tight chain. It only a certain range to bend before it puts the pressure onto the links on both sides, or in your backs situation, the vertebrae. This can cause them to crack or chip. The thing about it is that they are really hard to see on the x ray initially, even when you are looking for it. Either situation, your chances of skiing in the next several weeks at least would not be recommended. If you ski and you tweak it even a little bit, you could be looking at an injury that will stay with you your entire life. Obviously I cant diagnose you over the internet. I would STRONGLY encourage you to go see a doc or visit the ER. Just dont do anything stupid that you will pay for your entire life. Ben Gay and pain pills wont fix it. Go see the doc. You dont want to mess with back injuries.
