Is this company still producing? Is it a worthy company to take on? And if it started producing more caual wear and street clothes would you still represent it? Ive heard that Jibculture is no more and am looking to bring it back to a higher calibre company.

Your suggestions please,

T

Jibculture designs and logos will still be retained, and more progressive designs and clothing will be created, matching fashion and function. Integraded clothing for functional on-hill features with casual design for the street. Any comments of how the company and name "Jibculture" fair in the ski industry are welcomed.

jibculture was a skier owned clothing company that made hoodies and tshirts and produced a really good film last year called Disturbing the Piste. It is still based out of whistler, but is not really in operation anymore. I am considering taking over the 75% share of the company and firing it up again, although many items are going to be higher quality garments and not just plain tshirts and hoodies, but integrated button ups, better zip hoods and more of a selection of under ski streetwear.

i think it had a fairly good image...but then they totally dropped the ball and quit doing anything, it seems like. so who knows now? most kids probably dont even know what it is.

I used to have 2 t-shirts and a hoodie from jibculture. I really liked all of their gear because they had nice clothing that wasn’t super expensive. I bought my zip hoodie from them for 40 bucks, obviously you couldn’t keep prices that low but a good suggestion would be keeping your prices bellow the average ski company. If your stuff was like 20 percent cheaper and looked good it would gain you allot more sales.

I would definitely be willing to purchase more jibculture gear if it was quality gear that had style and wasn’t that pricy. I think your idea is great because the company is based off of guys just skiing in their home town which allot of people can relate to.

i have a jibculture hoodie, diff get it back going but don't change it from what it was to much, i mean diff try and get some profit but don't try and make it upscale, make it something everyone can afford, something that truly repesnts skiers

I will buy some stuff as long as it has some tech to it and the company has to have a good "flow" to it like siver

i have a couple jib culture shirts. i'd really love to see that company come back cuz i liked their stuff.

I accidentally wore my white l/s jibculture tee mtn biking in the mud and now it's covered in brown flecks. No more dice for that one unless I'm biking.

I loved Jibculture. Unfortunately all the stuff I owned is now worn out. I'd love to see it make a comeback. Definitely keep the old designs too, some of those were sick.

it's got to be tough trying to survive in Whistler with a fledgling company at the same time. Nate has always been a super busy guy and it's understandable that things can get out of your control really quickly.

the westcoast needs to keep what ski companies it has. jibculture allows people to represent the sport they love, without having to buy online from the east/the states.

do it up man, but please please PLEASE try to get some merch out to shops other than just in whistler. Get maddog's and other stores selling stuff. It'll sell, don't worry about that. From my point of view, I'd say more exposure is necessary if you're really serious about jibculture making a larger name for itself.

The jibculture guys were all super cool. If anything I bought my jibculture t and hoodie just to support those guys. I didnt like the logo much, but turpin is the fucken man. All the guys were super nice at both freshtival and when I met em in whistler.

i know it's been around a long time, but i'm sick of ski company names with "jib" in them. Skate companies never called themselves "grindculture" or "boardslidewear". Cmon though, Jibij, Jiberish, Jibculture? be creative.

first of all, who are you actually if i might be so nosey...

Secondly, i'd be stoked about it, as long as you guys finally freaking send me a legitimate copy of Disturbing the Piste. Nate gave me one of the test copies, and its kinda sheisty...and i paid good money for all that junks...

oh, and you gotta do the hoody with the skier riding off the ho...never mind me...

we brought the "JIB" to the culture WAY the fuck before jibberish jibij and everything else that made jib played out. we were the originators back in 2000. Dont forget that. JC is just in a relapse right now because nate has had way too much on his plate to run the company. I like the idea that this dude wants to take it back to its initial glory. Give'r dude.

I think that the costs of our movie ate up the rest of our production costs. Movies arent cheap to produce.

I love that it came from guys just wearing hoodies they made themselves around the hill. Fire that shit back up man.

it really depends on the pro-team you carry. If you have no one no one will know what Jib Culture is so get a good team

^ hey man what the heck are you talking about? perhaps you've heard the names rex thomas and dana flahr? they're two of the original jibculture guys.

Ugh. I had a JibCulture hood. I just wore it out about a week ago to dinner, and the waitress commented on it being an awesome hoodie.

i love it. And I also loved how it was affordable.
