So I have decided to get a new pair of goggles this season. I'm having a difficult time deciding which ones I want.

The following goggles are the ones I've had in mind...

Please feel free to let me know your experience with these goggles or your take on them! Also feel free to suggest goggles!! Thanks!

Von Zipper - El Kabong $185

If you can go try them on and see for yourself what fits best.

Never worn any of them skiing, but the Fishbowls feel much better than the APXs for me when I tried them on. Cant comment on the Kabongs

Looks like you're into goggles with big lenses. Check out the Oakley Airbrakes. They come with two lenses that are very easy to change.

The gogs that you are looking at have fire iridium lenses, which are only good for very sunny conditions. The airbrakes allow you to adjust to different lighting conditions throughout the day.

Dragon lenses are terrible... would not buy again.

Using Smith i/ox's right now and best goggle i've had. Haven't used VZ's.

Smith iOXs....all the way. Massive, impossible(really, not kidding) to fog, nice lens swap, the list is endless.

I've used the dragon APX for a couple of seasons now. Decent lenses, fit is good (for me) ,good vision, rarely fog as well. However I will be swapping back to Crowbars next season. Main reason for this is that these frameless goggles seem to have a huge problem skiing in trees and taking bails.

While on conventional goggles if a tree branch hits you in the goggle area, the outerframe will sometimes take most of the hit while on frameless goggles the lens will always take the entire hit. This results in a lot of scratching that could probably be avoided with framed goggles. After a season skiing trees in Japan my apx lenses look like they've been run over by a bus. I haven't fallen bad on my face for a while, but I have noticed new nicks here and there after taking a dive as well.

So if your a skier that never skies trees and never falls on your face, then I can highly recommend the APX!

Oakley Canopys!

Big lens, amazing fit, goes well with a helmet, great clarity.

You can even custom build yours up this year

Best thing you can do is go to your local shop with your helmet.. or hat that you ride in... see what fits best. as not all goggles are compatible with all helmets.

Personally I love the oakley crowbar, EGB2 and EG2... EGB2 being my favourite due to lenses are cheap to replace and they have a very good vision for a non spherical lense.

But, unfortunately like most gear, you can read all the reviews you like.. every face is different, every goggle fits different... Try on as many as possible.

I'm sorry, but please don't get Von Zipper. They're are many better options that have been suggested in this thread. If I gave my 2 cents, go with either Canopy's or I/Ox's. Both are fantastic goggles, it just depends on which suits your style more/if you like the lens changing system Smith incorporates into their goggles.
