Hey guys, i need help with this. here is the thing, i bought a pair of LINE blend 2017 (178cm) and i’m 172cm tall. Do u still think im going to be able to use them in the park? Or even use them in the mountain? Im really desperate and worried about this since i burned $700. I wish i could change them but im so unlucky that they are out of stock :) . And yes, i was stupid in buying such a tall ski for mi height.

Im so afraid i wont be able to use them, but i would like your advice guys. Thank you and greetings from Argentina!

If you're still growing, then you'll be fine. If you're not still growing, then you'll just have to man up to handle them. It's not ideal but you'll be fine, just have to become a stronger skier

Thanks for the replies guys! Im 16 yrs old so i guess i will grow some cm but the thing is i been 5’6 for a while now.

Did you buy them at a local shop? Even if they don't have stock of the size you want, maybe you could switch to a different ski. Idk, it's a possibility if you really want a different length ski.

No unluckily i bought them online and im from Argentina. So i gotta pick them up when i travel to the us. I dont really know if i want to change them, as soon as i saw the blend i swear i fell in love. No joke lol. It would hurt me so bad if i gotta change them, thats why i wanted ur opinion. Based on what u said i guess i gonna keep them and man up ,what would u do under this scenario?

You will be fine. Especially if you ride all mountain. Actually you may even be thankful for the extra length outside the park. If you centre mount them your ski won't be far off in front than a regular setup (eg powder/touring). This will be super beneficial if you ever take a lap outside the park to hit some drops and need the extra stability.

Yeah im not a park only skier, so that is so nice to hear lol. I ski SOMETIMES pow but im half of the time in the mountain so i guess im good. Ty for the help dude.

Wtf thats not bad. Im 170 cm and i rode on 174s for a long time. Its just a bit different thats all, you can also afford to take all jumps to gucci tundra because the extra length helps.

Also you base your height of skis on weight as well, how heavy are you?

If you’re good enough of a skier you can’t go lower than 176. Plus if you mount your bindings in the middle you’ll be just fine
