So this thing called antivirus 2009 is this rogge virus scanner. my mom was on my computer and this thing pops up saying i have viruses so she downloads it. well the virus wrecked my computer and now i have to completly clear my computor. the thing i was wondering is when itunes is erased do all of my purchases go. i was wondering if when i redownload it will all my purchases come back when i put my username back in.

O ya if antivrus 2009 pops up close that shit.
 
no they will not dissapear, you will just have to log back in in your itunes account and redownload them, you dont have to buy them again, just download
 
haha fuck you jkjkjkjk, yeah i was so pissed at her but i couldnt complian cause she bought me the computor. o yeah and go steelers.
 
and if they didnt come back just call itunes and tell them your situation, some of my songs magically disappeared and we called and they gave us store credit to buy those songs back
 
I think it depends how long its been since u purchased them

And that was pretty stupid of her.

Rules of thumb:

* never download something from a popup.

* be careful about downloading exe files, make sure you know what your downloading

* dont download anything labled anti virus unless its from norton or macafe or your internet company

* keep backups of everything, external hard drives are cheep
 
i got that virus one time. it was annoying as hell. i would load a new webpage and it would tell me that it contains viruses. it would have two links, and one would be buy the product and the second would be continue anyway, the only thing was the continue anyway button wasnt clickable.
 
yeah it seemed very legit, and if you hit close it would start the download, when i tried to delete it it wouldnt at first and after a day or so it was to late, my computor is slow as balls and im going to lose everything on it. fuck me
 
if you want, a lil expensive but this is what i did. i bought a new hard drive and slaved my corrupted one. worked fine for me
 
same thing happened to me, download Spybot Search & Destroy and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. Scan your comp with those and it should get rid of that fucker, worked for me.

to the OP, if your mom is going to continue using your computer, get eset smart security. easily the best antivirus out there for the price. if you need to get something free, get avira.

i used to use avg free, but for all the RAM it uses, it doesn't do much. avast! is even worse.

oh and, i like the way you spelled "rogue." somebody's got NS on the brain.

 
if you have all your itunes purchases up to date on your ipod, then when you connect your ipod to your empty itunes you will have the option to transfer purchases. you might have to authorize your computer again, but i am not sure since i have never gone though what you have. this is the only way to get your purchased music back onto your computer unless you have it backed up to another hd.
 
backup your music and do a system restore back to a day before your mom fucked shit up.

on xp

start/all programs/accessories/system tools/system restore

 
google search rogue remover free. Download it and it takes that thing off your computer in a minute.
 
no my computer is fucked, we had a guy come today and he said the only way to fixit is to delete everything

same shit happened to me...but my dad was able to kill the virus before it totally took over...it kept like popping up and putting up random website when i went to certain ones...get that shit erased
 
I get that virus too, but I or my family members have not downloaded the fake anti-virus shit. Does anybody have any idea of how to stop the pop-up thing?

and to the creator, backing up music is just saving it on something external that you can remove from your computer, and then transfer it back on once youre restarded your comp...
 
If you have all your music on your ipod your fine. Once you get your new computer dowload music rescue and it take all the songs off your ipod and puts them onto your computer.
