I need help choosing skis!

What's up ns, I'm a fairly new skier looking for opinions on my first ski purchase.

I'm looking for a softer mid-fat ski that's playful and will do well in the park as I progress and want to start hitting rails and jumps more, but can also hold its own in some fresh stuff and steep terrain. I ride most often at Mt. Ripley in Michigan's upper peninsula, but I also spend a good amount of time at Mt. Bohemia where there is lots of glade skiing and some gnarly cliffs.

I'm 5'7" 140 lbs and I was looking at the J vacation in a size 173. Is this a good fit for what I'll be doing and size-wise? What other suggestions do you guys have as well?

Are you still growing? The blend would be a good option at your current size, super soft and fun but you being your size wouldn't overpower it like most.

Yeah I'm completely done growing, I'm worried the blends might be too noodly anywhere outside the park though

They probably will be depending on how aggressive you ski. I’d check out the candide 2.0s and j skis vacation

I would love to get a pair of shaggy's to support the local business but they're a little on the pricey side at this point, what's nice about the J skis is that I can get the prodeal and have 20% off

I'd recommend not starting off on something like Blends or Wets. They're great skis but they might be a little hard for you as you really have to make sure to land on your feet and not back seat. Look into Armada ARV 96s, ON3P Kartel 96s, K2 Poachers, J Skis Wizard Sticks, and other all mountain park skis.
