"I need fantasy football help" thread

Wtf, so I was down 2 pts, he had Darren Sproles left to play and I had Drew Brees. Darren Sproles somehow gets 31 fucking points and now I'm down 3, it's gonna be a nailbiter.

Somehow I pulled a win out of my ass. Sproles stayed at 31 but Bree's got to 32. At this point I wAs still down a point, but then Sproles fumbled and lost a point resulting in a tie. I had WAAAAY more bench points than my opponent (benched V-Davis, Arian Foster, Hakeem Nicks, Joique Bell, etc.) so I got the tie-breaker win for having more bench points.

DeAngelo Williams imo. Coming off a pretty good game and has a good matchup against a bad Arizona run defense.

I need 3 starting WRs out of these six. No flex, so just 3 choices to make, can't start a 4th. Wes Welker vs Dallas (starting him is a given), Anquan Boldin vs San Fran, Julian Edelman vs Cincy, Marques Colston vs Chicago, Hakeem Nicks vs Philly, or Kenbrell Thompkins vs Cincy.

It's PPR btw, so I have to factor that in when I consider guys like Edelman who don't get tons of yards or touchdowns but catch a shitload of passes every week.

DEFINITELY not hakeem. he has been sucking major balls this year. he will get you no points.

San fran is going to start running the ball more than ever.

Edelman is straight killing it but not as much as Wes.

Chicagos defense will play well after last weeks bullshit.

Kenbrell or Wes? Wes all day.

I say you cant go wrong with Wes. The man will get at least 1 touchdown and will definitely get yards. Peyton is on his game which means Wes is guan get more points. I say Wes.

I'd play Wes, Boldin, and either Edleman if you're feeling good and just need a solid start (8-10 points) or Thompkins if you're feeling a little friskier and looking for the high upside

Based on match ups I'd go Williams this week. Although, Miller looked real good last night on the carries he had.

what about rg3 for bell? iv got bush and just in case he gets hurt again (highly likely knowing him) it be nice to have a strong replacement in that offense. the other trade didnt go through. iv got stafford and pryor

Oh, it was a trade. I thought you were asking which one to start. Anyway, go for it, that's a no-brainer in my eyes because of the fact that you have Stafford and Pryor. Stafford starts over RG3 every week and Pryor is a good backup with lots of upside. And having Bell as a handcuff for Bush is great insurance, because Bush could easily have another injury.

Thoughts on this trade? I'd be sending Marques Colston and DeAngelo Williams for Stevie Johnson, Giovanni Bernard, and DeAndre Hopkins. What are your opinions NS?

Bernard is definitely with getting and Johnson is good but woods may start eatin into his targets. He has a hammy injury too? Hopkins isn't worth much in that offense yet but he is a solid player. They don't throw a ton and a lot of the passing is to Daniels and Andre Johnson. Who are your other wr? If you've got two solid plays then id do it. Johnson is acceptable and can get you good numbers. And Bernard is only going to get better.

Just accepted the trade, it makes sense to me from every angle. My team is such that I've never started Williams until this week when Alfred Morris will have a bye (other starter is Foster), and I've only started Colston the first week. Whereas ill probably start Stevie Johnson and Bernard when I get them and Hopkins is a great backup for bye weeks.

What do you guys think of this trade:

Anquan Boldin, Joique Bell, and Kenbrell Thompkins for Stevie Johnson, Giovanni Bernard, and DeAndre Hopkins.

I don't like it that much seeing as Boldin is miles better than Johnson who is injured and out-targeted by Robert Woods for two weeks now. Thompkins and Hopkins are just about dead-even, but I think Thompkins has more upside. And Bell for Bernard is obviously a good deal in my favor with Bush being back, but Bell still has TD upside.

Oh btw, this trade that I said I accepted was with the league commish, I accepted it this morning and when I got home from school he vetoed the trade. He said he did it because he got screwed on the trade WHICH HE OFFERED. Yeah, no shit, that doesn't mean you can just veto an accepted trade because you made a shitty offer and you're the commissioner, fuck that.

Meh, it seems like a pretty even trade. You'd get better RB talent and lose some WR talent. The only thing I somewhat disagree with you on is Thompkins/Hopkins. As Gronk and Amendola heal up I see Thomkins value going down. He'll still be roster-able, sure, but I'm not sure he is going to be an every week starter. Hopkins, on the other hand, is definitely the #2 wideout on the Texans, and you never know when Johnson could go down, moving him into that #1 slot. Just my thoughts.

True, I'm pretty on-the-fence about this. I might be undervaluing his offer because I'm pissed at him for illegally vetoing that trade above just 'cause he's the commish and he made a bad offer. Like, what the fuck is that, no one else has that luxury, that's totally unfair. It's not a league for money, and he's my good friend so I don't really care that much, plus now he owes me one big-time now. But now he's trying to sell me the same players but for more than the last trade which he himself offered and then vetoed. Texting me badgering me to accept these his offers doesn't help either...

Well that's embarassing...

He just said he doesn't want to do the trade anymore because he values Johnson more than Boldin. Wut?

He's actually alright, and he'll do this for me too. Not that I'll ever need it 'cause I'll never make an offer that horrible. I just didn't like how he offered it, then vetoed it, then kept offering me the same players.

I probably wouldn't start woods tonight, he's been solid and is a great pick up, but I hate starting wrs and qbs on Thursday night games. Plus they're goiong against a tough Browns D.

Woodhead has been good the last 3 weeks (great last week) and going against a weak Oakland D, but I still don't trust Rivers, although he's been solid so far this year.

Eh, if it's a PPR I'd probably go Woodhead otherwise I'd go with Bowe, personally.

in my opinion...bench points should work in the opposite fashion to break a tie. All my leagues allow for ties, but i think it shows poor roster management to leave a ton of points on your bench and therefore in the event of a tie most bench points should lose the game. maybe not straight up most bench points, but most bench points missed out on...

I don't trust Boldin and I just picked up Denarius Moore. Texans are good against the pass and the Chargers aren't. Kaep has to deal with JJ Watt while Pryor goes up against at worst Manti Te'o (hahaha) and a defense missing Freeney BUT Moore is incredibly inconsistent.

State your case. Also I have Donnie Avery on the bench

id do it.

to aiden, thats a tough one id play the matchup in that scenario but kaep and boldin always have the potential to go off. houston is not the type of d to just let a massive amount of points but he could rack up some yardage. i think with pyror back they will move the ball a lot better and could be a big game for both. id go with moore..

do you need a rb? bell is solid but johnson is hurt and is loosing targets to woods. johnson could be a solid play but i dont trust him. if you have wr depth to afford loosing cruz who can get huge numbers than do it. or if you desperately need a top 20 ish rb. personally i wouldnt.

That's what i'm thinking but currently I'm trying to get the dumb guy in my league to give me Jordy Nelson for Boldin

NO! No No No absolutely no fucking way.

Victor Cruz is a fantasy stud, and basically the only offensive option on that team. An absolute target monster.

Johnson is a mediocre WR2 when healthy and he's got a bad hammy which will take him a while to come back from. Robert Woods is looking great, and will continue to eat into his targets. Plus, EJ just went down last night, and if he's out, Johnson has a backup QB throwing to him.

Bell is good, for sure, but when Bush is healthy he's a flex at best. You would need bush to go down for the year to even consider this trade.

You want studs on your team, do not trade them for 2 mediocre players.

Need help setting my starters in a PPR league. Here's my lineup without some of my bench riders and d/qb.

Arian Foster, vs SF

Frank Gore, vs HOU

Darren Sproles vs CHI

Dez Bryant, vs DEN

Randall Cobb, vs DET

Brian Hartline, vs BAL

DeSean Jackson, vs NYG

Jason Witten, vs DEN

Jared Cook, vs JAC

I have 2 RB slots, a TE slot, and a FLEX that can be TE, WR, or RB.

So im thinking i need to have Dez Bryant in my WR1, and probably Sproles in the FLEX, but im not too excited to start Foster and Gore. Both have come up short a few times and both are playing solid run defenses. So should i start Sproles in an RB2 spot, sit Gore or Foster, and try to get Jared Cook in the FLEX? He's playing Jacksonville, and i don't want to sit witten. Then at WR, do i start DeSean? Hes had some crap games, but hes playing the giants. Cobb and Hartline both look to have better matchups. Normally this is easy, but the matchups have come together for some weird options.

Play Gore for sure. Seattle beat Houston by running the ball, and the Niners won last week by running the ball. They are going to run the ball because Davis isn't 100% and ballhawk is going to be all over Boldin

Don't get cute, dude. Foster and Gore are match up proof. If they're healthy, you're starting them. Same goes for Cobb and Dez.

Cook had one good game, and has been bad since. St. Louis has no offensive identity right now. Their running game is atrocious, letting defense play against the pass constantly. Plus, Bradford is throwing the ball to everyone. Cook is battling at least 3 other wrs for targets, and they are all getting equal looks.

Put Sproles in your flex.

I understand you're a little apprehensive to go with Foster and Gore, but those are the 2 best RBs on your team. Think, last week some people sat Foster and he went off for like 17 or something. They've both started slow but have been coming on a lot the last couple weeks.

uggh i know. Ive started both every week and they both paid off big, along with sproles. Scored 120.

So my lineup is set

QB- Matt Stafford

RB1 - Arian Foster

RB2 - Frank Gore

WR1 - Dez Bryant

WR2 - Randall Cobb

TE - Jason Witten

FLEX - Darren Sproles

Still leery about sitting DeSean Jackson, but he's been too inconsistent, and i feel like the Giants might actually show up to play this Sunday.

I'm not saying you should sit DeSean this week, because I do think he could have a good game, but the 1 single good thing the Giant's have done on D is take the #1 wr out of the game.

Week 1: Dez - 4 points

Week 2: Demaryius Thomas - 7.5 points

Week 3: Steve Smith - 5.5 points

Week 4: Dwayne Bowe - 13 points

These are the results in my league that is a .5 ppr.

See, you're tied for first place, don't sit your best RBs because they've had a couple slow games. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Valid points but aside from Dez those are explainable. The Broncos have so many options and Peyton is so good he's not going to throw it to Demaryius if he doesn't have to. In the Carolina wasn't their average starting field position like the Giants' 35 because of all the turnovers? Not a lot of options for yards. and 13 points for a receiver who has been non-existant in an offense that has trouble using his talents is not a good sign. I think DeSean runs circles around the secondary on Sunday

Also good points homie. Hey, I'm starting Vick this week, so here's to hoping you're totally right about DeSean, I'd love nothing more for him to go for 130 and 2 touches.

Saw a couple reports out of NE that Ridley hasn't practiced at all this week, and Belichick has been pretty high on Blount. Just grabbed him off the wire, could be an interesting sleeper flex play if Ridley sits, what do you think?
