For I have sinned.... well, not sinned, but I realized I was an idiot.

For a long time when people posted stuff like Deadmau5 and others I used to hate it. But, having gone to a house party this weekend I realized why I hated it. I had never heard it played through anything other than my shitty built in laptop speakers. This weekend, I heard it through 7' tall speakers with massive subwoofers in it. And I greatly enjoyed it.

So, this is my apology NS for being a bit of a dumbshit.

It's not what I listen to all the time (stuff like The Who, Metallica, and GnR is in that spot) but I won't take time out of my day to shit on it all the time like I used to.

That said, some of it still does sound like Optimus Prime raping Bumblebee.
 
i was the same. never liked it till i went to a legit dubstep show.

when its live its fricken sweet. if you just have a crappy sound system its not that great.

the shop i work at, we just set up a legit audio system when we arent using all the gear, so if i play dubstep on it, it sounds siiick. so every once in a while we'll blast some excision.

and yes, it does sound like optimus prime having rough sex.
 
The intro is just sped up of the OG, then the drop comes and that song is so amazing. Yes, I have heard it before.
 
I'm kinda in the same boat you're in. I've always loved EDM, I like some dubstep, but was never a huge Skrillex fan. Went to a sold out show of his on Saturday and my mind was 100% blown. From what I've heard his shows are hit or miss, but this one hit the fucking bullseye. He may not be a "live" performer like Glitch Mob, R/D, etc... But I've gained a whole new appreciation for Sonny Moore after this weekend.
 
It was weird, I was sitting in my truck today after class with it, loud as usual and the song in the OP was playing and the old people next to me were obviously getting annoyed (long stop light). Next song, Billy Joel's "Piano Man". Their reaction:

and you wonder why these videos have a couple million views on youtube... its not cuz they suck.

currently listening with Dr.Dre Tour headphones. they have broken in every single way possible in the last 2 years but ive taped them, glued them and they are still kickin. gotta love fragile shit.

i personally like spending a few hours on a sunday night or a weekday when i have nothing to do and just lurk youtube and those music blogs looking for music i havent heard.

i really dont know why im posting this but ill toss up 2 songs you kids may like.

I love dubstep with all my heart....but this just ruined that awesome song! Along with twilight using it...
 
Just cause it has millions of views doesn't mean it's good. In MOST cases yes it means it's good but in some cases it means people are just idiots too.
