I think i might cry if i post anymore pictures but this is for the soul of skiing that still lies deep in alaska

This picture reminds me of night skiing and when troy got in trouble for being late beacause we helped get tylers bronco unstuck from i little ditch

This picture is the former location of the 1/4 pipe in the terrain park on chair 7. Me and troy hiked that bitch and tried to boost it for all it was worth. then the last day of the year me and zach put the rail on the 1/4 pipe and got creative, it didnt impress the alyeska staff

Lokking down from the top of the mnt is the best feeling ever

This lucky Bastard is playing on Chilkoot, to bad whenever we palyed on it our jumps were wrecked by anal patrollers who would come tear down the jumps AFTER we had built them, and hadnt hit them

alyeska2.jpg

Riding up the chairlift is the best feeling at alyeska, on a spring day the feeling cant be matched, especially watching kids huck their meat of horshoe and halfmoon, the chairride gives a full veiw of the mnt

The North Face was an unparraled mass of ski terrain that taught me the physics of big mountain riding

This is the Nicest thing i have Ever Heard about Alyeska, it is touching:

Because of Mt. Alyeska's natural topography—with its steep vertical and rocky slopes—the entire mountain becomes a natural terrain park under a blanket of snow.

Cat trails cut across several sections of the upper part of the mountain, creating a series of awesome cat-track jumps. You can catch great air coming off the cat track just above Gun Mount 2. Jumps in 'The Fridays' on North Face are a snowboarder's dream, as are hits on Half Moon and Horseshoe off the Silvertip Run. Many aren't on the trail map, so ask the locals and they'll gladly share some secret spots. Heading down the mountain is Lolo's Leap, with 10- to 30-foot drops into the trees.

Two spots to keep speed up or you'll be walking: Going into Ego Flats in the bowl area and on the Prince Run heading back to the tram base and the Alyeska Prince Hotel.

In spring, wait until after noontime for the snow to soften for the best riding. The best-kept local's secret at Alyeska is anytime it's raining on the bottom, you can count on it dumping lots of fresh pow up top!

Parks and pipes

Alyeska's machine-built terrain park below Eagle Rock has several tabletops, rails and quarterpipes. It's the best bet on icy days. Throughout the season, the resort builds one or two halfpipes near the top of Chair 4 that are well maintained with a halfpipe groomer.

Mountain rating

Intermediates will have a field day, especially with the wide-open bowls and spectacular views from the top of the Spirit quad. Experts have some good drops but the real challenge of Alyeska is the tremendous variety of terrain and snow conditions from top to bottom. Snow may be groomed, cut up or untouched. Sometimes it's powder at the top, moistening to mashed potatoes at the bottom

I found it at: www.resortspace.com/alyeska/ snowboarding.html

You know i dont think i have ever seen that many jumps or quarterpipes or even 2 well 'maintained' halfpipes, i must be skiing on a whole nother mountain, crazy eh.

AKILLAS can eat my ass with a knife

The halfpipe this season will be called the 'durtschi ditch' in my remembrence, and since i won every halfpipe comp in it except the boarderline one zach beat me in 3 years ago.

Go play in the ditch troy

it is your destiny
