They're shit and I will not be mounting them but still a fun project

I made them edgeless underfoot hoping to make a dope park ski. Meeting with Praxis skis today to see if they're fixable

Yeah dude, shits hard. I put close to 20hrs on the first ski just trial and error. Having access to a CNC would have made this project easy but with average power tools its a pain in the ass.

Congrats on putting in the work and getting it done!

Regardless of how they ski, how long they hold up, slide them down a hill. It’s the fundamental idea of what you set out to do.

Your set up looks sick! I hope you’re going to build on everything you learned, keep going and making more.

Having built a bunch by hand before getting involved with a factory (and still building prototypes by hand) I’m happy to share experience. Just drop me a message if you’ve questions and I’ll see what I can do to help.

Maybe some obscure name that makes them difficult to find too... something like WaterSkis?

OP, grab youself a sewing machine and start selling 2nd hand clothing for extra clout.

The bottle jack press is core as fuck.

Couldn't imagine hand shaping all that. Looks decent for what it's worth! I'd take em for a cruise unless you know they're bad bad

Yeah they’re bad bad. The cores shifted in the press leaving gaps on one side. On the first ski one of the Jack’s failed leaving areas unpressed and I didn’t use heat so the epoxy isn’t fully set

Hit my line. Got this new ski shape ive been dying to make. all mountain rocker 106/114mm in 177 or 183.
