I made an edit! Help me improve please?

Last season was my first season messing around with a camera; some photo and some video. I finally took the time to throw some clips together in Premiere Pro. I'm looking for input that could help me improve for the next time because I should be filming a bit more this season. I've never edited anything before so this was my first shot at it.

Could maybe have done with an intro

Could do with being more stable(what were you using?)

At certain points framing could be better

Sometimes overexposed slightly, are you using auto exposure? seems to change sometimes.

Editing itself was pretty good, some shots from in front instead of following would be good, they're hard though.

OP I agree with the intro comment, just something simple like a lifestyle shot and a title or maybe your/riders name's.

Noticed the stabilization as well, some looked like they were filmed with a perfectly balanced glidecam and some looked like they were handheld while bungie jumping.

Framing didn't bother me too much as you made good use of your entire frame and allowed movement of the rider from Left to Right which helps to exagerate movement and speed.

Exposure was somewhat iffy, but again not a huge factor and it's easily correctable.

Front shots are tough, I would focus on the other factors first before trying something like that.

Overall OP I reeeeeaaalllllyyyy liked the edit, it felt like it had a good vibe and the music and riders styles fit well. Congrats bud!

I also noticed either a dust spot or jut something on your lens in the first few clips. not really an issue, just once I noticed it It kept bothering me. i really liked it though. I agree with the lifestyle/ title comments

Other than this, some of the slo-mo seemed a bit choppy, and when he did the 180 onto the side of the landing, the way you cut it sort of made it look like he fell.

sorry for the delay, i'll try and respond to everyone in one post.

bo0b, i didn't use any slowmo in this edit.

snp_crew, that was water from snow getting sprayed on the lens. some days i didnt have anything to clean the lens with me. I didn't film much so I had no lifestyle shots, I knew going into this it was going to be essentially ski porn. I had to do schoolwork and didn't want to try and figure out titles in the short time I took making this, so I will work on that for the next time.

Twaddler - yeah thats fat gus

creu - everything was filmed with a glidecam hd2000, not perfectly balanced but certainly good enough. The shaky shots are all my fault. shots from ahead are tough because i always wanna film them switch and then i mess it up a bit.

magnus - i think i touched on this stuff already

thanks everyone for the input. ill work on the stability of all my shots as well as fixing what you all pointed out. I'm trying to film a bit more this year so hopefully I will have something out before christmas 2013.
