I`m moving to Lausanne

Hello,

I'm moving to Lausanne with my friend and I'm looking for a palce to rent.

We are going to EPFL from Sept. to start of February.

I was wondering if anyone could help me on this because I've been sending e-mail/calling people since 2 months now and I have not found anything yet.

We are 24 and we are 2 civilised students, speaking french from Quebec.

shoot dipfi a pm. he was my exchange student last year who shreds and hes from lausanne. he speaks german though, but he might have some ideas for you.

I used to study there.

As you saw, finding a place to live is almost impossible in Lausanne. I really recommend you to look directly with the EPFL on this pagehttp://logement.epfl.ch/ . You must already have you login / password from the school to do so.

Bon en fait vous êtes Québécois alors je laisse tomber l'Anglais. Résumé de la situation à Lausanne : pour chaque annonce de logement il y a plus de 30 réponses par des personnes intéressées (en grande majorité des étudiants). A mon avis vous ne trouverez rien avant d'être vous même sur place et le fait que vous n'ayez pas garant Suisse etc ne va pas aider. en gros c'est le bordel. Contactez l'école et expliquez votre situation ; vous venez pour un semestre de master je suppose ? L'école pourra vous aider, elle dispose d'une bonne structure avec des personnes très compréhensives pour vous aider.

Dans le cas ou vous êtes vraiment trop à la rue vous pourrez toujours trouver un lit dans ma famille.

J'ai peu de temps et je constate que mon message est bordélique, on peut se contacter par PM. Je serai ravi de vous faire découvrir certains endroits que j'apprécie et même partager un peu de poudre ;) !
 
What's up ! I am going to EPFL on next January for probably 8 months. I from Qc and love skiing ! I was wondering if anyone had or knows a place where I could stay with some people who love to shred also ! I'll check also with the Uni and their help centre !
