I just used the Chad's Gap call out and got shut down hard...

So there I was, standing on top of big white at the peak chair. Off the chair behind me comes a guy who looks like a serious ns'er...Saga outerwear, full tilts, Hell Bents, Crowbars and a helmet with the old ns stickers all over it. I'm stoked to see a fellow member of my community, and I figure he'll know the chads gap call out. So I skate over and ask 'hey man, do you know how to get to chads from the bottom of alta?' My querie is met with a confused expression and slight backing up...'dude I don't know where that is, wrong mountain maybe?'

It seems the chads gap call out is a lost art. Anyone else have any experience with this?
 
Yeah, I have tried the callout three times and it has always ended badly in embarrassment. Now I just ask people if they are on NS. The callout seems so cool but never works for me.
 
ha same here, saw a guy wearing some old saga and jibberish and he was like 30 but when i asked him he was like wtf man? probs cos this was in europe but i'm sure he'd been on ns before...we should have a less confusing callout, can't think of any god ones tho
 
I doubt this will ever be relevant for me since I'm from Finland, but what are you supposed to answer if someone asks you that?
 
ski patrol have been enforcing a brainwashing program to make people forget about the incident. be wary guys, don't ski alone
 
I've had similar experiences all over VT, surprisingly. I called out some kids casually wearing layered jiberish tall tees the other day and they didn't know. Embarrassing.

 
ask them if you could pee in their butt. if theyre an ns's theyll definetly know.

if not.. well you could find yourself in an extremely awkward or kinky situation
 
I'll be at breck today, Shreditor 102s, grey pants and helmet, black coat, someone call me out please I'm only here for today.

I saw a kid in an old outback with an old NS sticker on the gas tank and a lot of other ski stuff. He drove away before I could make a callout.
 
Someone called me out the same way and I had the same reaction........if i was to approach a fellow NS'er i would simply ask "yo your on Newschoolers? Wadup!!"
 
No...... How could you say that.

I think to sign up and make an account you need to answer the question or at least be given the question and answer to look at so new comers at least have the chance of doing the call out
 
I used the callout in a liftline once. I was super stoked cause he had a NS sticker on his shit, Saga, the works. I made the callout and he just said, "Dude, what are you talking about."

I called him a dick rather loudly and got on the lift. Fuck that guy.
 
You can't just say "yo whatup you know what NS is." Almost every park skier atleast knows OF NS, even if they dont participate. The whole point of the chads gap question is if they actually participate/know the NS history.

Don't stop asking, you will get a good answer one day!
 
some kid has an NS sticker on the back of his car. I ask him where chads gap is, and he says idk man I'm not from here.
 
I saw a kid once upon a time looked like he would be on ns he even had a sticker when I called him out he had no idea then continued to tell me how he hardly even used the site.
 
kid at my school has the ns jacket and i asked him he said he didnt know and got really mad because i wouldnt tell him. he then told me he looked for over an hour trying to find the thread and failed to find it, yet it is sticky-noted.
 
I did the callout to a guy with ns stickers on his helmet in Meribel (france). It was tragic.

He just replied "yeah good one buddy, you just put me off my drop". He then hit the feature, about an 8ft long 1ft wide box.

Fuck him, especially seeing as he appeared to know what the callout was.

The NS stickers should come with instructions
 
I usually get "I've never been to alta." It's a shame. For anyone suggesting a new call out though, fuck off
 
Ive wanted to do the call out but since I'm from vail most of the people on newschoolers go to summit county or go ski big mountain
 
used the callout on a guy in full saga with a ns tall tee underneath and he looked at me weirdly
 
this. in the plastic bag your stickers get packaged in should be the callout and answer and proper etiquette on using it, so we are done with these threads full of people not getting it.

seriously, has anybody had it work swimmingly?
 
OP called me out a couple years ago, I responded appropriately, and now we're friends

/an ns callout success story.
 
alright slut maybe some of us are too lazy to make one.... and regular photos don't import sooo that could be part of the problem

Every time I've tried it I've just got a confused look in reply. Despite them being all covered in Saga and customised Crowbars.
 
The one time I tried using that callout, I was at this fair thing at night. Guy was wearing a jiberish hoodie and I went up to him, asked how to get to chads, he said "bro im way too fucked up for this shit"
 
The only time anyone's ever called me out, I wasn't wearing any NS gear, or even ski gear for that matter. I just told him i skied.
