I just can't wear goggles!

I just hate wearing goggles, I feel like they impair my vision so much...It just doesn't feel right, makes it harder to ski and I just don't fully "there" when they're on. Does anybody else feel the same?

It's annoying because without goggles, it can get cold...the sun hurts me eyes, and snow blows in my eyes...but i'd rather endure that then wear them. Possibly it's that my goggles are shit? haha

WHAT'S MY BEST CHOICE OF GOGGLES WITH A LARGE FRAME FOR ENHACED PLANE OF VIEW?

I was thinkin POC lobes, or some Splices...

thaks everybody! als im lookin for something that makes everything real bright..something i can rock night skiing

not splices, they do not have a very big frame.

You listed all the reasons why sunglasses aren't as good for skiing in- I'd agree with the guy that says Oakleys are a smaller fit. POC Lobes fit a similar sized face more often than not.

Get some fatties like EG2s or the new Spy Platoon, all of them come with sick lens options these days.

I got exactly same problem last season, I never used goggles. Now I bought eg2s. Haven't skied with them yet but they feel lot better and think I will use them. They have so huge view compared other goggles, I recommend!

i feel them same way as you when i wear my eg2s so i switched to sunglasses and could not be happier

That's just going to be a different lens. every company makes a flat light or sometimes a clear lens, so you might just have to buy a couple lenses depending on what goggle you get. I know that the I/O comes with 2 lenses, usually one for sunny days and one for cloudy and snowy ones.

^ this. i just got the APX and there not as big as the eg2's but they have the same field of view and are way more comfortable than the airbrakes and cheaper.

that isn't true. Everyone assumes the APX's have a huge field of view because they look massive, but it's actually much smaller than EG2's, splices etc.

I have the exact same issue as you op, I thought I was alone. I have splices and I fucking hate them. Honestly, of all the goggles I've tried on

Airbrakes

Splices

Crowbars

EG2's

APX's

I/O's

Fishbowls

& Platoons

The VonZipper fishbowl has has unquestionably better field of vision than any other, there's actually a huge difference. They do look kinda weird imo, and it sucks that I can't get a clear lens, but those will definitely be my next purchase. I urge you so much to try on a pair.

Smith I/O's! Wow people are posting alot of the same questions? And think of it this way, skiinging without eye protection is stupid, sunglasses protect ou from the sun and snow blindness but what happens when you go in the trees and take a tree branch to the face, you go blind.

Honestly just go to a shop and try a bunch on. You'll always get different answers on this topic. Personally, I think the fishbowls can't be beaten, but see for yourself man!

if you really cant stand goggles get a nice pair of glasses and put a croakie (spelling?) on em

I do enjoy riding with sunglasses but they don't look to good with a helmet..and as stated above they're not too good for cold days or any sort of protection

Smith I/O with the Sensor lense. I don't really get on well with goggles either and they're the best I've found so far. As long as you don't get anything on the lense you can almost forget you've got goggles on.

I tried on every pair of goggles in 3 ski shops last week. I found most of the oakleys pinched my nose. The ones I felt that had the widest fit were the APX (which come with a bonus lens but the shop girl couldn't actually change it in the 30 mins I was in the shop) and the Oakley airbrakes. Get to some big ski shops and try stuff on, something will fit nice. Tr

I feel the same, an the only goggle i would wear is EG2, also get smoke or clear lens. if u find some pm me cuz i cant
