I just blew my knee out.

wild guess. like legitamte wild guess.

did you afterbang and your knee went the wrong way? im always worried about that.

damn dude +vibes, I pla n on skiing breck in a week with my brace (taking it hella easy of course), but atleas the three of us have spring/summer to rehab and strenghten up to comebck next season.

i tore my acl like 2 weeks ago and it fuckin blows but itll be over soon enough and we'll be back out there shredding next year.

Thanks guys. Story is not even sweet. I was taking it easy and was only in town to pick up new skis that were just mounted (wasnt skiing them).

I was in the flats going back to the lift buttering 180s and stuff and I was going switch and did these weird tail press switch 3s and the snow was like melted but frozen again so kinda chunky and just leaned too far back and fell and heard pop pop pop.

Had to drive an hour back to my parents house by myself (clutch did not feel good).

knee problems+stick shift=fucking shitty.
I remember driving my little truck which was a manual with a broken ankle. That was horrid.

yea my dad fucked up his knee skiing 15 years ago and it still pops out on him sometimes and he is done for a good month. Make sure u let it heal properly.

yeah im sitting in bed right now on my second blown knee. one bit of advise when your doing pt DONT FORGET ABOUT YOUR OTHER LEG, a ton of people myself included just get tunnel vision on getting the one leg back up to strength that they foget to work on/ strech the other one and a year later blow out their other knee. So now this is my second season out

hah, well at this point I don't have crutches, I'm just using a skipole like thing but mainly hopping on one leg. I think that leg is going to get very strong from hopping so much.

But thanks to everyone. It is a very shitty feeling.

Sucks man, sorry to hear of any of this. My knees were total shit a few months before the season(horrible pain, Osgood+runners knee+my knee caps not staying in place right(and my leg could go past 180(straight down) way too much)+ a FOURTH thing they couldn't diagnose) and I stopped most of my normal workouts for knee PT time, and I think it made my knees a lot stronger now than lots of peoples are normally, and I'm just glad to be able to ski. Too bad I lost a noticable amount of leg strength though..Good luck!

So shitty man. I feel for ya

I dislocated my hip mid december...Season's over. It's the worst feeling sitting around when all your friends are out shredding. And yep, i have a clutch.

How long are you out for?

I dono. I'm a graduate student of microbiology so it just seemed like a cool icon thing. No real purpose or meaning other than it was the first idea I had for it.

I dono yet. My dad looked at it but I might go get an MRI done tomorrow.

Shit man that's pretty gnarly. I have to wait for march to get an MRI.

Good luck man. We'll just have to push it harder next season.

just so you know, number of posts on an internet forum has no correlation to skiing skill if you're insinuating anything...
