my grandpa Rip .. he died about 6 months ago and never told anyone about this land he had. It has House/shed and like 2 dredges and a motorcycle. Its in the best biking town in Ca. So when i get tired of it i can go hit the 17 mile downhill.

My other side of the family owns a much MORE significant portion of THIS island (the one in grey), meaning about 80% of the eastern half of it:
But there's no forest there, just farms and cranberry bogs. Not very valuable. Still, it's a lot of land, so it's worth a fair amount through sheer volume.

My family owns our's too I = family , I smashed my camera on a rock when i laid my mini bike down tryin to take a pic while riding on a small trail. Duh... I plan on going in later this week so i will get pic's for sure, We need to Helicopter a dredge in before we can start making money. One a good day in a gold vein we can make as much as 100 bucks to 50,000 doller's just the luck of it is fun as hell. The place is amazing!

^Er... from the whole 'Treetop' thing, I assume you're joking... anyways, there are a few problems with that idea. First of all, you wouldn't be talking to me, you'd be talking to a bunch of lawyers, and final say would be going to my aged grandparents. We leave the decisions to them because it's really their land no matter whose name it's under, and my grandmther is a financial genius (Think: buying a few lots of SW Marine drive property 50 years ago for 50 grand, selling it ten years ago for about 750 gs each). So I couldn't do anything for you either way.
Secondly, we have serious problems with both tourism and Kayakers. Example: There's a little island off the coast on that map, and there's one that's connected to it that isn't on the map. The latter used to be a preserve for birds, and it had over 200 species of plant life (mostly flowers). Unfortunately, it's also an ideal camping spot, and after the last 15 years of Kayakers camping there, lighting campfires and dropping beer bottles, there are now fewer than 30 species left there. Needless to say, this pisses my family right the hell off, since half of us are interested in botany and ornithology (not me, personally, but a lot of us). I doubt more kayakers would be too welcome.
Lastly, current value of waterfront property in the area stands at roughly half a million for a moderately sized lot. However, were we to wait 20 years or so, that price will skyrocket as property elsewhere on the island becomes less easily available (the southern half is getting pretty heavily populated). So I doubt you'd have enough cash, and I further doubt we'd sell anyways.

Unfortunately, it's also an ideal camping spot, and after the last 15 years of Kayakers camping there, lighting campfires and dropping beer bottles, there are now fewer than 30 species left there. Needless to say, this pisses my family right the hell off, since half of us are interested in botany and ornithology (not me, personally, but a lot of us). I doubt more kayakers would be too welcome.
Lastly, current value of waterfront property in the area stands at roughly half a million for a moderately sized lot. However, were we to wait 20 years or so, that price will skyrocket as property elsewhere on the island becomes less easily available (the southern half is getting pretty heavily populated). So I doubt you'd have enough cash, and I further doubt we'd sell anyways.
