I have a swimming pool & trampoline

Landing bad in the water hurts skin. What are your recommendations? Do clothes, like wet suits solve this?

It will be a lot "softer" if you break the surface tension of the water in the pool. All of the super tall cliff jumps have sprinklers, aerators, or a waterfall. You should be able to rig something up where someone sprays a hose into the pool where you're likely to land. Perhaps a high-power sprinkler would also work.

Or he could install a water softener for the pool
 
I thought this said i have a swimming pool and vaseline

that woulda been way cooler
