i hate the new "upgrades" to NS. i cant get to some of my cults they just disappeared. things dont work the way they used to. it seems like NS is now heading towards a more profile based format, which scares me. i have always liked NS for being more forum based then profile based. i cant stand myspace facebook or anytother of that stuff i just like the way people comunicate in the forums with out having to go look up somebody to send them a message. i even stopped going to snowboard.com for that reason. any way just vent ing and wonder what everyone else thinks of this new format.
 
It was NEVER forum based. The whole point of NS was to be a skiing community, with pictures and video and media and a forum to back it up. The forum is only a part of the entire grand scheme.

But one thing that should change is the fact that in your profile you can't click on the member names as a link. That's not cool.
 
The profiles will always take a backseat to the forums in my opinion. The profiles are just supplemental information for a users identity. NS' forums will always be rocking, have you noticed them slow down since NS added extended profiles? I have not. You don't even have to have any info in your profile if you don't want. Personally I really don't see how extended profiles are going to change the site dramatically.

As for your missing cults, once things settle down a bit try shooting Doug or Paul a message, they were able to find some of the other cults that seemed to be missing. Your cults are most likely not gone, don't worry!
 
To address the original post... I realize the cult list is messed up right now. Your cults will all appear properly if you go to Interact -> Cults. I'm working on fixing the Cult Forum list soon..
 
damn worf!! you sure are getting cantankerous in your old age! tough getting old and aceepting change, isn't it? hahaha!
 
haha I realize that's a to-do problem. one of the cults i visit regularly has everyone set as a leader before the change. so now everyones going a little insane with their new mod-like powers. unfortunately the cult-founder of this specific cult (or any of us) cant access the members page. so he cant fix this situation since its one of the many cults that doesnt show up under interact>cults.

forums>cults deffinatly works but that takes you direct to the forums page. oh well. just a bloody forum, it can deffinatly wait haha.
