I hate my skis

Okay so maybe it’s cause I rode my Rossi Slats for damn near 5 seasons with well over 300 days on them, but I fucken hate my Prodigy 2.0’s. I don’t know what it is man.. they just don’t feel nearly as inspiring or fun to shred. Maybe I’m just not use to the shape and the weight but so far they just arnt it. Anyone feel the same?

how many days do you have on the new skis? i hate getting new skis cause even if theyre a great fit for you, it takes a moment to get used to the new geometry, stiffness, edges etc

if you've only skied them a tiny bit, give it time and you'll prob get used to them. but there are enough different types of skis out there these days that you might just not like the way the ski behaves. for instance i bought 5 point geometry skis one time and hated them so much i sold them after one trip

Give them some time. They are a fun ski. I had the 3's. Super fun but my issue was it was hard for me to really lay down a solid carve. Too surfy and not chargy enough.

You win some and you lose some when buying skis. Just sell them or break them and get something different, there are plenty of options out there

Breaking up with a ski of 5 years is gonna hurt. You’re going to miss how they made you feel, you’re going to miss the memories, the good ones, at least. You’ve just gotta remember why it ended, why you didn’t work out in the end. If they were perfect, you wouldn’t have moved on.

sometimes you just need to work on yourself for a while before you jump into something new. If you’re looking for that same connection, that same spark all over again you’re just going to be disappointed.

Most eloquent thing I’ve ever read on NS
