Okay so last night i went to bed. Only took me a couple minutes to doze off. Then i started to hear voices, The next thing i knew, i woke up but couldnt move. i was in my bed looking towards the wall. while i was paniking because i couldnt move, i saw a blurry figure that looked liek a person facing me. they had dark hair. seemed like a woman. she was moving back and forth talking but i was panicking wondering why i couldnt move so i couldnt hear what it was saying. then finally my paralysis goes away and i continue looking at the wall and the object slowly disappears. but the thing is that the time between me seeign the thing between paralyzied and me finally getting able to get up had no transition. like it seemed like i was even awake during the paralysis thing. i looked up sleep paralysis and found out its common to be paralyzed for a few second or minutes when u wake up because of REM and all that, but what explains the muffled talking and the object. at the part i was able to move the figure was slowly vanishing, it didnt just dissapear. so im wondering ns, what the fuck? was i legit awake seeing a ghost or something or what?

but the thing is taht i know for a fact i wasnt dreaming the wake up, because when the thing started fading i got up, sat on the side of the bed, turned the light on, looked around. turned the light off, closed the bedroom door. and layed there and thought about how fucked up that was, then went to bed. and when i woke up today, the door was closed which meant i did end up clsing it in the middle of the night last night

well if it was a ghost, keep in mind not all them are out to get you. there are those ones that can help you out. I remember watching a show where there was a ghost of a little girl in the house but if you asked her nicely she would open up doors for you. I think that would come in handy when your holding something heavy

Yea, but the thing about lucid dreams is that, like you mentioned in your original post, there is no transition between the dream and actual consciousness. So you can move straight from a dream to real life activity without 'waking up', because you were dreaming awake. I don't know if that makes sense, but what you described sounds exactly like a lucid dream.

yeah i always run into that problem when im bringing something really heavy into the house i always have to put it down open the door then pick the damn thing back up, a ghost girl would come in really good use

some ghosts in my town are ridiculous. this hotel called the staightor, you are almost guarenteed to see ghosts. my friend and his mom swear on this story. they were all chilllin in the room and then two ghosts go flying through the wall and one was chasing the other with a gun and they just went in and out of the room for like 5 minutes. that would be so sketch.

we have a ghost train go through our town, we dont even have train tracks. the closest train tracks are about 30 miles away, but you can hear the train at the middle of the night down town its sick as fuck

o and for some reason i thought it was my grandmother who died a few months before i was born. like she was somewhat short with the dark hair and similar hair shape. which leads to another wierd ass thing.

a few years ago my uncle went to a person that talk to ghosts and stuff or whatever. the only reason he went was because his wife wanted to go and made him have his own session. so he goes in there thinking this is retarded, and then the woman starts talking about my grandmother(his mother). at the time i was the only person in the family that had never met her before. the psychic person then said that my g-ma was talking about "my grandson". she didnt talk about my other cousins she met which were all female or her daughter, but me. and guess she started talking about being pressured into doing a career choice and how i should instead do what i want or incorporate with something else i love as well. which at the time made sense. it's rebonkers nonetheless

I had that happen to me twice a couple years ago after being extremely stressed out about a class. Basically what it is, is the opposite of sleep-walking; where your body is not awake but your mind is. In medieval times people used to say they saw goblins and gargoyles and stuff when this would happen and then around the time that aliens came into play, people thought they were being abducted when these awakings took place. So yeah its no more a bid deal than sleep walking.. just can be kind of scary.

my friend just had one of those, theyre called sleep paralysis its a combination of hallucinations and paralysis, some people say that its a ghost holding them down but people dont know much about it, some scientists say it has something to do with neurons screwing up the connections between nerves making you stop moving and the hallucinations are from your dream or some weird shit like that happens when your wicked stressed out usually

i've had this exact same thing happen before

its happened to me for almost a minute twice... and i see a person or like outline of a person breathing over me and two of the times i swear i felt a hand over my mouth... but i couldnt move or make noise or anything... it was sketch as fuck

the first time it happened i was in like 1st grade and this was one of the times i thought i felt a hand on my mouth... haha i freaked the fuck out and like as soon as i can started yelling

but it happens to me every once in a while and i just try to be like "yeah this is some weird shit happening in my sleep, and that shape of a person is about to dissapear"... that usually works

but ya never know... maybe theres ghosties in my house trying to suffocate me

i had that happen to me when i was little.

i was really scared haha i still remember it.

but yeah lucid dreaming is really cool if you ever try to force it to happen.

and what you described sounds exactly like it cause when you do realize your dreaming and you wake up sometimes its like that and theres no transitions.

holyshit! this kind of thing happened to me this year and last year a couple times only the face right in front of me was kinda sucking my soul! it's fucked up i dont even know, i got really scared and wanted to just stand up or at least move and i couldn't, then when i closed my eyes i felt like i was falling into a huge whole and the sensation is horrible. true story, its fucked.

One time I was sleepin and i never quite fell alseep i started to see things floating across my room but i couldnt it was like the blankets were concrete i was just watching, Then my horse that died ran into my room from my door and like rightin front of me she reared up and fell over the end of my bed causing a match twitch which i really didn't feel at the moment just thought she was dead on me.

when i was younger i used to get really trippy dreams bout a white wolf supposidly we have some native american in us anywho, the first night i heard yelling outside so i walked downstairs to my porch and saw the wolf laying on the porch tangled in a trap so i go and like relase it the whole process took like 10 min, i went upstairs and went back to bed ilike couldn't take in what just happend and i woke up to the wolf laying on the end of my bed staring at me and got all this crazy dreams about animal abuse and what not was trippy as hell and i woke up the next mourning in like a daze

It's called sleep paralysis.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis

A good friend of mine had a very bad recurring case of it, combined with sleep apnea (when you miss breaths while "asleep"). He had a number of occurrences where he would wake up and not be breathing (not good); after a bit of therapy and some other crazy mind-yoga-stuff that i didn't really understand, he seems to have broken out of it......

It's not really super rare, but it's weird for sure. Never experienced it myself but I've read of it...... I would recommend that you keep an eye on it and talk to somebody if it starts happening with extreme frequency. Don't freak out about it if it happens to time to long time, apparently that's normalish for some people.

ok so i was listening to the radio one morning and one of the guys was saying this same thing happens to him. they looked it up and it was some sort of disorder or anxiety or something. i dont remember what else they said about it, but i do know its not real ghosts. but you should go to a doctor or someone to get meds

well i had the most messed up dream of my life a couple of days ago, it wasnt lucid (i new it was a dream when i woke up) but it was just scarey, one of those dreams where you do something like jump or get hit and you jolt awake, and wake up like you've just ran 5 miles through the woods, all sweaty and breathing hard. it just scares me that my brain came up with that stuff. it was really weird though cause i havent really remembered a dream for a couple years, and it definitely wasn't this vivid ever.
