I found the funnest sport to film: Freeruning!

That was sick man!

Just out of curiosity what body and lens did you shoot with and where did you find someone to shoot? Like where to look for an athlete?

Thanks man! It was shot on sony fs700 with a tokina 11-16, rokinon 8mm and 35 t1.4.

As for the athlete, hes a friend of mine. He never got filmed which is a shame for the skill level he has reached. Best thing to do is just to immerse yourself in the lifestyle of extreme sports. I have a lot of skilled friends in almost every sport and if i don't, just by filming the friends i do have, their friends will see the video and often contact me. This is the way your circle grows. Its just a matter of being active and shooting. I should start listening to my own advice for this and film more. The more i film, the more i want to film and the more people want to work with me.

that was really nicely done mat! are you working on any other freerunning edits? I have the opposite problem to lou. i do a lot of this but never have anyone to join me besides a tripod which is why any edit i have made, there is no camera movement so they get boring.

Thanks man! Yah, I plan on doing quite a bit more since I liked it so much and I want to be more and more active. I want to have something to film once a week ideally so this might be something fun to keep busy with! I actually wish I had time to do more tripod shots! If you take enough time to plan out some good cuts, a tripod can really add to the beauty of a video which is where I think this one lacked.
