unpopular opinion - that dude got kind of a bad rap. he was definitely a prick and had a disagreeable and often obnoxious personality, had an unfounded superiority complex for sure, but he also tried to be helpful and contribute in his own weird way. the generational gap didnt do him any favors and people jumped on the low hanging fruit calling him a pedophile but i don't think he was creepy, he was just an asshole who thought he was better than everyone else because he was older-danbrown

Yeah, kinda this tbh. Like he wasn’t cool but the dude also is also: pretty darn old, and lives at home to take care of his mom who was not in great health last I heard. I think dude was just seeking a community for support (a human instinct) and just wanted to fit in. Like yeah he did some not chill stuff and it sucks he was weird, but tbh a small part of me just feels bad for him. One of my best friends also lives at home to take care of a parent who also has a chronic disease which will eventually kill them, so I kind of understood the life he was coming from, it can be really socially isolating.-Young_patty
