I donated Plasma yesterday

I finally got off my ass and went in to donate(or sell) plasma the other day. Overall it went pretty well, wasnt as bad as I expected at all. On the plus side i can make $200 a month if i donate twice a week. All in all i'm pretty stoked.

Not really. It may depend on the person but there arent any side effects to giving plasma. You kind of have to adjust your diet and eat more protein to be elligible but thats nothing. Plus they pump some saline back into you after youre done to get your body hydrated again. I felt fine after donating.

i do that shit... your body replenishes your plasma over night so as long as you get a good night sleep after you donate your golden.. i donat 2 days a week then study after my apt then go to bed early and wake up early for class feeling great and ive got a tank of gas for my car and money for munchies! its a pretty good set up but not everyone can do it... fortunatly they dont mind that i smoke

I can't do it, I tried my freshmen year of college and its like it sucked all the life right out of me, I was drained for about two weeks and it blew dick.

damn man.

up here in canada they dont pay you for that shit. they just guilt you into giving it.

and then once you give it to them once they call you every few weeks and try and get you to do it again.

ooooo save liiiives

haha! the opposite is true here! - if you have been to canada or america, you are not allowed to donate until after 12 months of you going there, something about west nile disease or some shit... wtf?! that is malaria, is there really malaria in canada/america? the same with mad cow disease, that was over ten years ago! there's loads of crazy rules and shit - like you can't donate if you are a gay male...
i plan to donate but wtf do you guys get paid for it? you should do it out of the goodness of your own hearts! lol

north america had a west nile scare about 5 years back. wasnt that big of a deal but you know how stuff like that goes. people were kinda freaking out.

holy shit it just started snowing like mad.

whenever we had blood drives at my highschool, i couldnt do them because i had been to a 3rd world country within the past year. does this rule also apply to plasma? ive been to the dominican republic to help out really bad areas the past 2 years.

i wish i could but im terrified of needles. everytime i get a shot/ blood test, i get really dizzy and could probably pass out on the spot if i wasnt such a beast

wow wow wow... theres a big difference between donating BLOOD (wich here in the usa we dont get paid for)and "donating" blood PLASMA (what we get paid for).when you go to a local blood drive they take all your blood when you got give plasma they pump it out, separate the plasma from the rest of the blood, and pump the shit the dont need back in.i think a few of you might be getting these things mixed up

I go to Biolife and they pay me and its okay if you have live in england like after 1998 or something since they said it was okay because I live in england from 2000-03

The local centers here are so fucking trash. I drive by one a lot doin catering runs and the nastiest people are waitin to donate plasma to buy their drink and shit.

Medical research programs can be pretty boss. I did one over the summer and made a few hundred for only about 2 hours of actual visits that were mellow. Clean money to supplement working money.

I'll never donate anything again. Over a gallon of blood. I did double red and they put the needle in shitty. Said my veins were messed up cause they were retarded. Poked it through the side, jiggled it around. When they pumped the saline in, it filled a big pocket in my arm and they had to cut me off the machine.

Ignorant bastards.
