I think I was doing the buick before A Hall. I keep hearing all the announcers at X games and olympics saying Alex hall invented the buick grab and how its his signature grab. But I think I was doing it before him. Not sure. Thoughts?? There's a Clip of me doing it in 2014 at 0:50

 
Nice edit! Ahall is the only one doing it in comps but others (you included) have definitely done it before. It's probably more the announcers that are labelling the "invention of".

In a sport that values creativity and originality, once someone starts doing a specific "signature" grab, other competitors are unlikely to just copy it for fear of unoriginality. Grabs are how people add flavor since most of those guys can throw equal spins.

Michael Jackson didn't invent the moonwalk but it was definitely his signature cause he made it mainstream.
