I can't "find" my mute grabs

I'm having troubles finding my mute grabs. i spin right, and i'm trying to grab the right ski with my left hand.

after bringing my knees up, should i be reaching around my left knee to get to the right ski, or should i reach down between my knees? And should i cross my skis before getting the grab, or should my hand be grabbing the ski and then pulling it over?

my tip is kinda "transfer" between grabs. go for japan and once you find it, grab over for a mute and cross, letting your hand kinda slide down towards the nose and start crossing as your goin for the japan

Maybe you mean critical instead of japan?

is critical just like a japan, except in front of the boot instead of behind it?
