After seeing how all these little fags on here react to what Danny Kass said in some interview has made me realize how gay skiing has become. I don't understand why people care so much about what this moron says, he's one fuckin guy, hes not speaking for all of snowboarding. Now we have these 15 year old kids posting retarded photoshopped pictures of Danny Kass on the Transworld site giving skiers a bad name and giving reason for snowboarders to hate on skiing even more, I'm a skier for shit sakes and I feel like hating on my own sport. Above all of that Doug Bishop is running this saying he'll give free prizes? I find that extremely distasteful.

Take my Karma, it means nothing to me.
 
i know exactly what you mean man, everyone just needs to chillll. were goin in reverse here, we know snowboarders arent gonna do shit cause most of them like skiers now and vice versa but if everyone continues to be all offended it's gonna wake up some nasty shit.
 
I'd say that 99 percent of skiers.....including myself.....have no idea who Danny Kass is or What he said. We just ski because we have a passion for it. Don't let a few dumbass skiers represent us or ruin what you love doing.

we are going to continue to make fun of him, its what we would do if a friend or enemy said something stupid or disparaging, and no, diplomatic relations between the two factions of snowsports have not gone down the tubes causing a "cold" war. haha. if you have read thoroughly most snowboarders have agreed with us over his comments.

well if snowboarding were to judge skiing as whole on the opinions of a few then i think that would be pretty gay and wouldn't want to switch. Plus we did the exact same thing with pioneers of our sport. Also you don't ski cause it's cool or we're considered respectable or not you do it cause you love it. Alot of people call snowblading gay but i do it anyways cause i love it
 
i love how you have the let the future of your skiiing career get affected by some thread someone posted. it absolutley great you should switch just becasue you obvisouly don't care about skiing that much if a thread on ns might cause you to stop skiing.

^I don't think that's what he's saying at all. Hes commenting on OUR reaction to what Danny Kass said.

I could care less what Danny says. Good for him that he hated on skiing and now everyone who skis hates him. That was a smart move on his behalf. Grenade's revenue just decreased by 50%.
 
it's sad that you were only skiing for the scene in the first place. if its something that you genuinely enjoy, then why would you quit just because we retaliated to danny kass' dumbshit comments about us, making us unequal to snowboarding? that doesn't piss you off? this argument has been over for years and he just keeps on provoking it. he deserves to be called out and if you can't see why then read what i just said 5 times and then read the interview. It doesnt make you proud to be a skier when guys like tanner stand up for positivity all the time? you shouldnt even have been skiing in the first place if all you were worried about was what people percieved us as. please switch, we dont want guys like you skiing with us.
 
It all goes back to fun. Props for wanting to try something new. A lot of people hate on each other for choosing one or the other but in the end it's all just a way to get around the mountain. Ski or snowboard, doesn't matter to me as long as you have fun and don't hate on other people. Go snowboard and have fun, maybe I'll see you on the hill one day and we'll shred.

There is always gonna be dbags like danny kass out there saying crap about skiing and there's gonna be kids that feel like they have to strike back with some kinda homosexual remark but that doesnt mean the whole ski community is like that. Just enjoy shredding and leave the trash talking to people who have nothing better to do.
 
You guys keep saying that we are so immature and shit, but is it not immature to have a superior attitude and claim that your sport is being invaded by another? Is it not immature to trash another sport because you are the original guys and you guys are so core. Also do even deny it, if Tanner or Jon went and called out snowboarding and said the things Danny did, the whole snowboarding world would be up in arms just like us.
 
that's a pretty weird reason to switch sports. just do the sport you like best and ignore the shit people say on forums.

First of all, anyone who hasnt been freestyle skiing before 2002 can shut the fuck up. I was part of the movement, and a good 95% of you were not. I'm just seeing the direction skiing has been moving in for the last 5 years and it's gone to shit. Not the progression, the people that are skiing. Most of you are kids who would have snowboarded and sucked at it, but you thought skiing was 'cooler' so you did that instead.

Now second of all, you guys are basically like the terrorists that took down the world trade. Why you ask? You don't look at context, just like they didn't look at the context of the qu'ran. Danny Kass said "we have to fight for whats ours"... have any of you dumbasses thought that maybe he meant that snowboarders have to start progressing more so that snowboarding can be at the same level as skiing? probably not, cause all of you are fuckin stupid. He also said "I want competitions put on by snowboarders NOT SKIERS" I don't blame him, I think you'd rather have competitions put on by skiers and NOT SNOWBOARDERS. He was also referring to the tool skiers that run FIS and not us 'cool' skiers.

Now sure, you can get ALLL offended and shit, or you can just chill and look at it from his perspective. If he actually did mean to hurt your feelings, he's caused a reaction and he's won, you've already lost, he does not give a shit. But if its really the context I've explained here, you guys just look like dumbasses who get all offended by small things. Either way, skiing has lost here and Danny Kass had won for snowboarding, good for him.

And as for the "I am honestly thinking of switching to snowboarding..." I just used that so you kids would look at this thread.
 
It's his fault for not clarifying that and he still hasn't so im gonna take that shit literally. it's not like you actually know him or have spoken to him about this issue. he thinks that it's bad that skiers are in the halfpipe and FUCK that. "SKIERS ARE TRYING TO TAKE PART OF SNOWBOARDING'S HISTORY". does that honestly not piss you off?? seriously.
 
No actually, not one bit. You need to chillax son. He's got his opinions, have you talked to him? no you havent so you dont know that either. Also if you know anything about interviews you'd know that the person doing the interview takes whatever they want. You could make Hitler seem like he liked jews in an interview.
 
I find it funny that you take offence to the gay jokes made about one snowboarder in one thread when the majority of snowboarders have been making gay jokes about skiers since they started. They created their community by hating skiers and some of them still keep the running joke going. The rest of the snowboarders that don't mind about skiers aren't thinking how lame snowboarding is because some of them hate and ridicule skiers, and a company like burton, which encourages hate, is still around.

And I think it's good that skiers are standing up against Danny Kass about that. Sure, it's immature and childish, but it brings us together in a little way.This place is for people who are stoked on skiing, so if we all find something that hates on that stoke, do you really expect everyone to shrug it off? Threads like these that complain about skiers and how dumb and childish they are tears skiing apart a little.
 
Everyone in this thread is missing the point. He hates all of YOU for escalating what Danny Kass, not the other way around...

Caring that much about the thread with the highest concentration of retard is pretty ridiculous, do you really think snowboarders wouldn't do the same thing if they had a community like ours. After the success of the Thall thread of course the next p/s thread was gonna be horrible, all the kids to dumb to figure it out last time are now copying and pasting penises in every pic of danny they can find. Is that really something to get mad over lol.

I think the comment was meant in a more "we have to step our game up" way plus, a lot of pipe jocks don't have any style either. I definitly don't disagree with him, thats for sure.
