i would assume that a school would generally turn down that many extra students? that's really shitty, and the fact that she said "the number of portables has decreased over the past decade" is completely unacceptable. i don't think i've ever seen that happen to a school.
 
But all the schools are overcapacity. My high school had 1350 students in a school built for 900... they have since been told they need to get rid of the portables because they are too old and unhealthy.
 
yeah. i can kind of see why they do. i was talking to my mom about it since she works for a montreal school board. i just don't see why the people wouldn't go to a different school or be sent elsewhere, then again i don't know much about that area. it's still lame.
