I Am A Passenger - A Self Portrait

Earlier in the season I broke my collarbone and had to stop skiing for a while, but I really got into filming and editing, and I really love it! This is the culmination of the skiing shots I got this season along with some summer footage set to a great song!

I would really love critiques as well, I'm always trying to get better at editing, so any feedback would be appreciated! I know some of the transitions exported strangely (the shot of drinking water has something strange going on with it), but other than that feedback would be awesome!

Filmed on a Canon XF 100 and a Canon 60D with Tokina 11-16. Please watch in HD!

I liked it, it had a nice summer vibe to it and great song choice. But I think you could have gotten away without using those tune to black transitions in the beginning and the shots at the beginning was a bit to short I think . And maybe you should have skipped the sunset shot at the begging or finding a better transition between the sunset shot and the text because I really liked the text but the flow between the sunset shot and the text wasn't great..

But anyways great work!

Thanks for the critique!

That was actually one of my main gripes with the edit was the beginning. I really wanted the sunset shot to fade into the text but leave the video still playing in the text like it did, but instead of the entire screen fading to black and then to the text, I wanted just the part of the video that did not make up the outline of the text to fade away if that makes any sense haha. I could not for the life of me figure out how to do it.

And the song is The Passenger by Iggy Pop!
