The closure is not that extensive just the C-470 overpass

DETOURS IN PLACE FOR MOTORISTS TRAVELING ON I-70 IN AND OUT OF THE HIGH COUNTRY NEXT WEEKEND
WEATHER PERMITTING, starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 19th and continuing until 5:30 a.m. on Monday, November 22nd, CDOT and its contractors will be installing girders at the C-470 bridge over I-70 as part of the interchange improvement project. This work is expected to have a major impact on traffic in the area over the weekend.
I-70 Closures
Starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 19th and continuing until noon on Saturday, November 20th; from 7p.m. on Saturday, November 20th to noon on Sunday, November 21st; from 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 21st to 5:30 a.m. on Monday, November 22nd.
Generally, I-70 will be closed in both directions between the Genesee exit (#254) and Colfax Avenue.
Specifically:
During the above-mentioned hours, eastbound I-70 will be closed from the Genesee exit (#254) to C-470.
The detour route for eastbound I-70 is US 40 east. Motorists will exit at Genesee (exit # 254),
head east on US 40 and return to eastbound I-70 at the Colfax Avenue (US 40) and I-70 interchange. Traffic from northbound C-470 will be allowed access to eastbound I-70.
During the above-mentioned hours, westbound I-70 will be closed from Colfax Avenue to the Morrison exit (#259).
Motorists traveling on westbound I-70 will exit at Colfax Avenue and take US 40 to the Morrison exit (#259) where they can again access westbound I-70
