so i live in georgia and obviously you cant ski here and both my

parents work the airlines so i fly free, this winter i was planning on

making some days trips up to Minneapolis and ski at hyland. Only problem

is there isnt a real good way to get there from the airport so id need a ride. Any newschoolers down to help a fellow newschooler out and make a new friend while your at it?

.

Do you fly free everywhere? If so, fly elsewhere. If you want to ski a great park fly out west.

threads -- I'm curious as to how you landed on Hyland, as well. Though I've skied quite a few places and must say, Hyland's park, as long as it's before school lets out and there aren't kids flying everywhere, is super fucking cool.

I chose hyland because from Atlanta to Minneapolis there are 10 flights a day so I have more ways to get home and if I. Iss a flight it's not like Im there there.

If you live in Georgia just go ski at cloudmont in bama. Flying to MN to ski is a stupid idea. Fly to Denver it is another major hub. I know that ATL to denver should have at least 5 flights a day.

but in denver all the ski resorts are at least an 2 hours away opposed to hyland where its 15 min from the airport..

^don't let these dudes naysay you... flying standby can be a bitch and skiing anywhere new is a rad experience. I live in Rochester, so I don't ski up in the cities, but I'll check this thread out & will maybe be up there at some point when you need a ride. Otherwise, taxis are always an option, esp. if you're flying on the cheap.

maybe this dude is smarter than we think. i mean, hyland is like 10 min from the airport. where else in the country is a ski area that close to the airport?

sry can't help you out OP, i ski hyland for 1-1.5hrs in the mornings in the middle of the week. you can probably take a cab for $20 each way.

There are plenty of busses that run around there. Just look it up on google maps, google maps has bus routes and it'll cost you less than $3. Otherwise, I could probably drive you someday, I live pretty close to the airport.

having free flying like this would be dope though. imagine the conversations

"ok see you guys, going skiing"

"what? where...?"

"Minnesota"

"wat"

"be back tonight!"

Yea I know.that but slc is a Bitch to get in an out of for standby plus it wold cost a ton for just the 5 hrs i would be able to ski there..hyland is cheap has a cool park and it close to the airport

Yea I've had some conversations like that..last month a group of.us who fly free went to san Francisco for the day and people would ask about my weekend and be like wtf..haha
