HP Pavilion laptop

ive narrowed by college laptop search down to a few and my number one is the HP Pavilion dv6700t. Ill mostly be using it for word processing internet surfing and music downloading so i dont need anything to crazy. Any thoughts/ expierences with this particular laptop or suggestions for others?. and by the way i know a lot of responses will be get a mac but ive ruled that out already.
 
i had the same comp before i sold it to my sis. she needed it for school. its a bomb computer, i had no problems with vista and i was doing pretty much what you are going to be doing. I really liked it, very good for the money!
 
i am on a pavillion for now and have had it for about 2 years, i havnt really had any problems with it, and its a media computer so its good for you i think

just get enough memory and hard drive space of course
 
I just bought the exact laptop, and I'm using it now. Get at least 3gb of ram and vista will run great on it. I have had no problems at all for about a month. Great computer, and I would really recommend it.
 
Just a general rule of thumb: When you're buying a laptop cheap out on the hard drive and put the money you save into the memory. 500gb external hard drives can be found for less than 100$ now, internal laptop hard drives are really expensive because they're the itty bitty ones.
