Hows my video? 14 years old

I would cut out the comp stuff at the beginning, and any shots you fell on/didn't make it to the end of the rail. I'd also shorten the shots so there isn't as much riding in and away, and just shorten the whole edit in general so you can fit just one song. and lose the snowboarding, otherwise looks good

not bad just watched the whole thing. was it suppossed to be themed like you were bad then got better? pretty good you're better than i was at 14. learns some more rail tricks over the summer and gets some grabs in there and it'll be real sick. also, how long are your skis and your poles?

Well, if an edit is 7 minutes wrong, then there is generally a problem already. Five minutes is like the max for a one person edit. I don't really know what the snowboarder was doing in those shots, and I think you could have put a bit more thought into the song selection instead of using songs that have all been played out on newschoolers already. Are you using windows movie maker? If you are, I'd recommend getting the hell away from that program.

Other than that, I liked it. The skiing was pretty good, but you hid alot of the good shots in a stream of mediocre ones. If you could pick the good ones and make another edit that was like 3 minutes long with a better song choice, I think it would turn out better. Just try to edit to the song and not but down the clips on a time line and then throw a song over it.

You have the skiing capabilities, I just think you are capable of showcasing it with a better edit.

^yea

^yea (haha) i agree with the song choice thing. i was gonna post something about that then i forgot to. i like the first song just because dane tudor's segmant was sick but do what he said.

Definitely not a bad first edit just get some style goin, dont flail you arms as much, the reason you were going off rails early is because your shoulders were not lined up with the end of the rail or box, spinning off nuckles is fun but might not want to put that in an edit instead go off the lip of the jump and make sure that you are clearing the jump completely before you start spinning it, i think its always better to overshoot then undershoot a jump. But it was a good first time edit and for being 14 your not bad.

TAKE OUT

you crashing

you not making it to the end

all the gay looking shit.

the snowboarder

only put your best shots in.

use an original song.

work on your style

The beginning was so awful. THank god i didnt post it after i saw it. And place u uploaded ur vid sucks.. Ive waited long time still cant watch it full. But yea, It is pretty cool just get more skills in rails. Do not post your crashes or fails...

doesnt really matter. i find imovie and final cut express the easiest, but it is all preference. anyways I thought the edit was not bad. just maybe be more selective as to what shots you put in the edit: you want to keep it down to your best shots.

overall not bad, especially for 14

Pretty good. Basically Cut out all the snowboarders, the entire first comp, all the falls. If you take out all the good stuff (backflip, 720, switchup on the down box) and don't have anything repetitive (you hit the DFD like 20 times) it would be way better. Also, using an original song that hasn't been in edits already is nice, there lots of sick rap songs out their that havn't been used, (Jurassic 5 have some sick songs, check out their album Power in Numbers).
As for next year maybe try grabbing your spins, switch stuff like 3's, a couple new rail tricks. So sick for 14.

throw some grabs in, cut out some of the stuff, experiment with camera angles, and use a tripod like the kid a few posts up said. all together, pretty sick bro

Alright not trying to be a dick but that needed a lot of work.

Here are the things you need to change/ work on:

1. Style

2. Filming

3. Editing

4. Dont use songs that have been used in other well known edits or overplayed stuff (Miley Cyros in general, Dale's spring edit, Wallisch's slamina part, and I Feel Ghood)

5. Dont leave so much space before and after shots

6. Shorter poles

7. Dont huck, work on grabs and smoothness

8. 7 minutes is to long, try like 4 or less

9. No snowboarder

10. No stuff that you fall off early on

Just keep goin after it. You can only get better

First of all, I don't really understand why kids have to age claim their edits...it really doesn't matter how old you are, but it's not that big of a deal.
Take out all the shots of you falling/not making the entire rail/box - unless it's an EPIC fall, you don't want it in there...falling on a flat box just sliding it...not epic (I'm sure it wasn't fun, and yeah, everyone has done it, but you don't want to show it in an edit).
Too much arm movement, control your upper body more, not only will it look 100x better, it'll help you with harder tricks (for example, it's WAY easier to do a K-Fed with your arms down at your side than it is with your arms flailing around)
Work on popping onto urban set-ups, try not to do the step on style approach, it'll look better and make it easier to control your body (like I said above), and it'll help keep you centered on the rail/box
And most importantly, shorten the video - taking out some of the junk will help, but sponsors and reps like videos that are short and sweet, they don't take a long time to watch but it still makes an impact. Think of how many videos a rep has to look at every day for potential people to sponsor, they don't want to sit and watch a long edit, they want an edit that will take very little time to watch and still make them remember who you are.
Work on that and you'll be amazed how much better your edit will look.

You jump on to rails in a weird way, it should be more of both feet than one stepping on then the other following. Pretty good vid though.

that rail jam at the start is enough to make most people turn it off straight away.... the rest of your edit shows that your actualy pretty good.... however, only put your best shots in, a good edit should make you look better than you usually are... your edit shows that sometimes your kinda bad... not trying to be mean, but you got the skills and tricks, so just show them... not all the rest of the stuff... but yeah keep working on it bro

The edit is actually kinda good if you forget the rail jam at the beggining,
But you shoudnt have used take a minute in such a lame part, it's almost a crime to do that

im 14 too and im not that good, definate props on how much better you got in only one season though keep at it

damn i wish i could throw backies when i was fourteen. i couldnt clean that long box NOW. you have a lot of decent material that you can build on. listen to the advice of aKrieg and Flaskick101. aKrieg is a good filmer and Flashkick knows what hes talking about. keep skiing and get some steadier footy and you should be able to make a promo next year

nice edit but shorten it a lot keep your arms down and pop on rails im 14 too and im pretty solid on rails and can 7 mute, just keep progressing

I dig it. Looks like you're having fun. Ignore the pretentious assholes. It looks good. I can't hardly run a VCR more/less video editing software. Keep it up.

Cheers!
